Pure Health Club provides the perfect environment for exercise and relaxation so you can make the most of the time dedicated to you.This page is dedicated to NUS Students to entitle them to great value student membership offers.

Story

Gym:

Pure offers a state of the art gymnasium that includes:

• Excellent cardio machines with personal TV’s.

• A dedicated free weights area.

• Personal trainers to help you achieve your goals.

Our dedicated gym staff and personal trainers are always on hand to help you achieve your goals. They can help you maximise your results and create a tailor made exercise plan to suit your needs.

Swimming Pool:

We have a luxurious swimming pool complete with sunken hot tub, loungers, full glass fronted sauna and a steam room with calming mood lighting, allowing you to continue your workout or relax and unwind in style.

Studios:

Classes take place in either of Pure’s specially developed studios.

• Studio 1 is a modern space developed for aerobic, cardiovascular and body sculpting classes.

• Studio 2 is a calming area with landscapes of iceland from floor to ceiling. Perfect for activities such as Yoga, Tai Chi, Palates and Body Balance.

Lounge & Coffee Bar:

Meet up, chat or just relax and read the free daily papers in our lounge area where staff can make coffees, teas along with a range of juices and waters.

Love/ Hate relationship with this gym, I love the classes, the instructors are great (Izzy brings so much sass & motivation to her classes which makes it fun & hard work but she can't do every class!) they just need to invest more money on instructors to keep the good ones and the equipment. Unfortunately the flooring is bad in the studio, equipment is very out of date in the gym and the pool is always dirty. If they invested as much money on the gym/studio/ instructors as they did with students perks you would have an awesome gym. The atmosphere is great, the staff are really friendly and genuinely look happy to be there which is always a bonus. Fantastic location. Come on! Spend some money and make it amazing.

Great place, I have had things been stolen before so keep your stuff in a locker. Sometimes the pool and jucuzi had a lot of chlorine in it, so.it wasn't very nice. Very welcoming. Great gym.

The quality of this health club does not reflect the premium pricing or branding. The changing rooms are quite cramped, and are very busy at peak time. The ceiling/ventilation systems are exposed and constantly spray you with water in the cardio area. Other reviewers also mention this. The machines are for the most part functional, but apart from the treadmills are not of a sufficient standard to justify the price. I cant comment on the weights or pool areas, but was told the water treatment is chlorine only (again, UV is something you want to see here). The pool is under 20m and does not seem suitable for serious lengths swimming.

After suffering a stroke in 2016, I approached the gym with a view to continue to improve my mobility and physical fitness. I met up with Katie who put together an exercise program, combining resistane machines, cardio and free weights, with the help of Katie and the support of my care givers my mobility has steadly improved over time, I now walk without a stick and manage some steps. Thus giving me my confidence and independance back. I now attend a wellness class which is of mixed age, gender and mobility, run by Nick Bale, this is a very sociable class and I enjoy that interaction which I have missed. I never thought I would be independant again and I can't thank Katie and Nick enough for their encouragement and support. Amanda Falls

I was a member of this gym for five weeks, while I had a temporary work contract nearby. It's not the best gym in the world, but not the worst either. It includes a gym/exercise machine area, weights room, class studio, swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room. The gym area itself is cramped, but has a good variety of machines. There's a mix of classes, but the communication over them is poor: The timetable online is out of date, and there seems to be no reliable structure for classes being covered in an instructor's absence, or for notifying students of cancelled classes, not even a post-it on the studio door. The building itself is aged, the sauna walls are rotting, floorboards in the studio give noticeably, and it usually takes a couple of attempts to find a working locker. I am suspicious of what the dim lighting in the pool area hides, but have actually found the facilities to generally be clean. The free personal training sessions are hard to book, being limited in time slots, and being so high in demand they can only be booked a week in advance. The price of membership is reasonable, and the staff are friendly. The gym suited my needs, and I'll be returning should I find myself working in Leamington again, but, really, I expect better.
