Drew and Leigh S were brilliant from start to finish. Best mechanics I've had in 20+ years of living in Fareham. 5 star!
Protyre performed a Gold Service, MOT on my Rav4. The MOT revealed many major or dangerous faults which they quoted to rectify which I thought was a very reasonable price, picked the car up earlier this afternoon, the brakes are now spot on and much quieter. Great service and professional staff, can highly recommend them John Wright
I’ve used protyre a lot over the years and the staff are always friendly and helpful. They are priced fairly and never seems to be a long wait either I popped in today after getting my wheels painted a few days ago to get the wheel nuts retorqued and they couldn’t of been any nicer Will always be a returning customer here and they are the best around for tracking too
Booked car in on thursday 4th july for cv joint and mot. Took car at 830am. Said cv joint needs looking at and mot at 330pm. Had a phonecall around 1pm from Drew to say cv boot looks dirty. I said its the joint you should be looking at not boot. Ok was the reply we will look. Another call from Drew at around 4pm to say its failed mot for cv joint. I said that should of been looked at and fixed before mot. Drew said there supplier cant supply the joint so we will have to source one and they will fit it. Found the part at gsf as car is french and re booked in for Saturday 6th July. Dropped off at 830am again with part. No phonecall all day so called Drew at 315pm to ask how they were getting on. Drew informed me that a car had been stuck on the ramp all day as they were waiting for a part so my car hadnt even been looked at. I said ok but i needed car back by 1pm on Monday 8th July as im a carer in the community and had calls to make. Again no phonecall so i called around 2.30pm to ask. He said it was just being put back together and would be re Mot once finished. I finally managed to pick up the car at 5pm 3 days after it should of been finished. Drew did give me a free mot and took £45 off the labour which was decent of him. I just feel communication, accountability and customer service needs to be 1000% better in this branch. Ive have 4 tyres and a gold service with this branch with no issues. This branch has declined in recent months.
Where do I start decided to take the offer of the £35 Mot. When arriving at the garage I did notice how quiet it was with lots of young guys in overalls just standing around. I received a call a couple of hours later. The guy said it's going to be expensive £700 to be exact he wasn't sure when he could do the work maybe sometime next week if he had a free engineer and that I couldn't drive the car. I was shocked as this is our only car meaning we had to hire a car. I have just taken it to my usual garage I had it re tested the bill came back at £360 with the additional cost for a another MOT and I will be able to collect today Shame on you pro tyre how many poor other people have you ripped off £35 just to draw people in them completely rip them off.
In the past your Fareham Branch always done a good job but the quote for repairs seemed very high I obtained a new quote from my regular garage for providing OEM parts: Total cost would come to £332.81 Protyre's quote was £469.86 A large difference of. £137.05 On the day of Protyre's quote they also said my tyres would need replacing and suggested I should book the car in for new tyres in 6 months time. I felt this was totally not needed as my milage is very low and a more realistic a tyre check should have been 12 to 18 months. My overall feeling is that Protyre's aim was to create a false sense of urgency to replace my tyres too early and over priced the MOT repairs as I presented as an uninformed OAP.
Here's the super quick AA man taking his wheel off my car. He rescued me from a busy dual carriageway and even helped the tyre fitter. Top marks to Mark!
Got me in at 5 minutes notice and were able to fix my tyre. Also checked the others while I was there, excellent service and reasonable price.
These guys are very good, they are always friendly and willing to help, super flexible and genuinely helpful! Most garages have no can do attitude and selling you they are super busy but these guys always tying to help! Keep it up!
Popped in to check my tyre wall this morning as I thought I needed a new tyre! Excellent customer service and they didn’t rob me for a new tyre, they advised it was safe and even used tyre glue to repair the visual flap of tyre showing! Most places would have upsold a new tyre so very happy to leave a 5 star review!!!
