As an expat landlord for over 17 years I have suffered some horrendous 'management' of my property. At the end of one 3 year tenancy I contacted 2 different letting agents to meet me at the property when I was in UK. The first didn't turn up until after I called to remind them of the meeting. The second, Steven Chippendale turned up bang on time and was extremely professional, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The property shop have been managing my property ever since and have been faultless. On the odd occasion The Property Shop have needed to contact me they have provided all the information needed for me to say yes or no to any work required. Completely hassle free. I couldn't recommend their services enough.

Have been with the Property Shop for 3 years.  I have been very impressed with the help, advice and professionalism from everyone who I have dealt with.  Renting my own home out was a bit of a daunting prospect at first, but I have been really pleased with how things have gone.  Would highly recommend.

We have a portfolio of 32 houses and flats in the Hyndburn / Blackburn area. Since transferring to Property Shop on a full management basis in 2012, we have achieved 97% average occupancy levels and Steven prides himself on keeping the tenant rental payments / monthly accounting under tight control, ensuring that we do not have problems with arrears. All maintenance  and repairs are undertaken quickly by professional tradesman and regular inspections of each property are carried out in order to ensure that all are kept in good condition. Steven and Jamie have many years experience in the residential property investment sector. There knowledge and expertise provides me with the piece of mind that all of the properties are professionally managed and are fully compliant with all regulations and landlord responsibilities. I have been very pleased with how my investments have been managed since transferring to Property Shop and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to other landlords and tenants looking for houses to rent.

As a current tenant for over 8 months, I could not fault the service levels. Their responses are always friendly, quick and satisfactory and I have never had any issues with the few maintenance enquiries I have raised.

I would definitely recommend anyone looking to rent a property to try and do so through them.

I called to arrange a potential viewing on a property. The lady who answered was very blunt, and i must say not very receptive to the call. Almost as if she had something better to do. Regardless, i persevered, as i was extremely interested in the property in question. 

After asking a line of intrusive questions, without explaining the need for doing so, or even checking my availability for a viewing, or identifying which property it was i was interested in, or acknowledging whether it was still vacant, after she deemed i would be financially viable for her, baring in mind i explained i would be happy to pay the full 12 month term of any rent up front if it were to aide me in taking a property of them, she decided, because i was unable to leave my place of work during a day to view the property any use to her. She said, and i quote "I don't think this conversation is going anywhere, i'm going to put the phone down".

When i called back to speak to her manager, i was informed that this woman was the manager, and that if i wished to make a complaint then i would have to send an email to the same person i wished to complain about, and i couldn't speak to a Director. 

This doesn't really effect my life, as the property is also with another agent, but i would be deeply disappointed if i was a customer of this shop, who had property i wanted to let, as the attitude of the staff was shocking. The person who i spoke to after also tried putting the phone down when i asked for an email address of a director so i could make them aware of the attitude of the staff. 

If you have a property, i strongly advise, from a potential tenants perspective, these guys are extremely off putting.
