Needed a house to rent for six or so months between sale of our house and finishing building work on our new property. Applied for a newly advertised Mcdermott rental. Provided personal and financial information. Paid reservation fee. Told house was ours. Signed away old house and arranged removal. Then was told CEO had decided to sell the property, despite our being told we could have it. Now desperately seeking another rental before we are legally committed to leave our home.
Do not trust a word they say.
Julie –Anne a pleasant lass. CEO sucks. Too chicken to talk on the phone to explain/apologise.
Sadly no "no stars" option for review

Bought a house from McDermott homes and we are due to move in this weekend . It’s been a lovely experience and they have be great to deal with and o my I’ve been a pain 😂 but the staff have been great 👍🏻  . This is not my first experience buying a new build but by far one of the best . Thank you for a great service and house !

Not helpful when told that their lorries were damaging my property whilst driving at speed to Harwood Chase. Be careful when selling land to them for redevelopment. ie. your neighbours might not be impressed with their attitude.

Have been a tentant for 6 years with McDermott Homes.  Could not ask for better landlords!  Always so quick to get repairs sorted and the Team, Particularly Janet & Julie-Ann are great to deal with! Communication alway prompt and pleasant.  Would certainly recommend this company for anyone looking to rent with a proper firm who do things right.  Thanks for looking after us.  You've been wonderful!

Messed around for a ton of paperwork (they wanted to know everything about us) and then declined our offer to move into a property because our income is not 2.5x the price of there rent (if this would have been mentioned at the start instead of wasting every bodys money and time i would not be so mad, also there are hidden fees, avoid this company at all costs
