Had a very special birthday celebration in the restaurant with my family and friends. Found service excellent and standard of food, in particular the Sunday Roasts, not only great value for money but also very substantial and a well cooked presented meal. Yorkshire puddings are to die for! Would recommend this pub for food, service and friendliness of staff

At first arrival we were greeted with very polite staff. They must of changed shifts shortly after as the service after was terrible. Because of a mix up on an order and trying to explain what we wanted the staff were unfriendly and we could hear a group of them talking about us very loudly in the kitchen and not dealing with us personally. We had to take the food back ourselves as the girl who took our query obviously didn't want to come back to the table. They made it a bigger deal than it needed to be and made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. I think the staff need a bit more training in dealing with all types of customers with any feedback.

Great pub grub in a lovely pub. Compliments to Dom the head chef. The fish and chips with mushy peas is delightful

Very disappointed. Everything we asked for they didn’t have. It was booked for my husbands birthday for 7.30. .I find it very difficult to be able to run a kitchen with most of the menu missing. Won't be rushing to go there again. Also there was a broken chair what the staff expected us to sit on. . No effort to remove it at all.

Good McMullen pub. Good food and service. Restaurant area always seems to be busy but food is served at tables in the bar.
