Great menu and fantastic service and guess what Dog Friendly too! Our server was very helpful, the burger tasted homemade, the chips were crispy just how l like them. It’s a lovely area to visit with the Ring of stones and the views. Great selection of Ciders and Beers although sadly one of us has to drive.
Our very first visit here and it's an hidden gem! The sun was shining and it felt quite warm so we decided to have lunch in the garden. We were told that there would be a 50 minute wait...so hubby bought a couple of drinks and a couple pkt of crisps to keep us going while we waited! This is obviously a dog friendly pub/beer garden and a few dogs did get a bit ratty but they were soon sorted out. Unlike a couple of mischievous children that were soon taken to the car! Our food arrived and was definitely worth the wait!! Hubby had ham, double egg, chips and peas..whereas I went a bit exotic with the Pimm's chicken, mint, cucumber and strawberry salad. With a side of sweet potato fries. The salad could have done with more strawberries...but it was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend it!! The disabled toilet needs a little updating but is adequate if you don't need to use the wheelchair for everything! The emergency pull cord should be 3mm from the floor...incase someone should fall. The handle was also broken. This can all be easily rectified. I'm looking forward to another visit sometime soon :
We came to the area for a family walk and we had great time. After couple of hours in a glorious weather it was so nice to sit down and have some food. However "some " is massive understatement. Menu was really attractive and I found it quite difficult to pick just one meal, but finally I went for fish and chips.... WOW!!! That was amazing! I absolutely loved it! There is a natural playpark nearby and the pub is very dog friendly. I can only say, great place and thank you for your hard work
Really nice pub with a view. Ate inside as there were more flying creatures around than we'd like whilst eating then sat outside for a drink. Food was delicious, service a little slow but it was busy and we were in no rush.
Had a late breakfast here. Food was very good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Fantastic view even though it was very cloudy.
Had a lovely pint of thatchers haze after an evening walk through the woods for about 2 miles, nice place to relax and chill. Just added some more pictures, from recent and early morning walks, scenery in the early morning can be really stunning.
Wow! What a gorgeous place! Fantastic setting, great prices food and drink and welcome and friendly members of staff! We had the water buffalo burger and I can honestly say I have never had such a tasty burger. Cooked perfectly and washed down with a pint of cider! Perfect after a walk around Ham Hill Country Park. Highly recommend!!
Country pub at the tip of Ham Hill, good food and friendly staff. Dogs welcome, lovely views and walks at the summit.
The Prince of Wales pub is insanely popular for many reasons, 2 of which are the food which is off the scale good, and the location, slap bang in the middle of Ham Hill Country Park. They are dog friendly here too, but not in the restaurant. Booking for food is highly advised as it gets very busy very quickly, but you will not be disappointed if you're lucky enough to get a table. The menu is extensive with a specials board to boot and the staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. We visit frequently with our friends and they love it here.
Great location, good traditional pub atmosphere and a great pub garden. The staff were very friendly and polite. A good selection on the menu. A good selection of ales beer and cider amongst other things. The only thing that wasn't great for me was the fish from the fish and chips which didn't have much flavour. The chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce were all really tasty, it was just the fish that was a bit flavourless. I would definitely like to come back and sample more of the menu!
