Had a brilliant meal out with my partner, we had a lovely Friday evening and like always with Prezzo Braintree staff, they really looked after us, I don’t always take the time to put a review however our waitress Joana really went above and beyond service with a smile and made us laugh on numerous occasions. A really pleasant experience food was lovely and service was nice and fast even though the restaurant was quite busy! Thanks to Joana and the Braintree Team for providing an outstanding service! Tom
Lovely, friendly staff and good food - great value for money! We were a small group of old school friends, meeting after 45 years, so had lots to talk about. We were left to chat, but staff were quick to come when needed, and were very understanding! Fantastic service, and I'd definitely visit again!
We are frequent visitors of prezzo and have been for years. The service and food is always brilliant and the waitstaff are always happy to help and there when you need them. Joana was great and made out evening very nice especially with it being a busy Friday evening. Thank you and we will be returning soon!
You'll be waiting forever for someone to take your order despite the restaurant being nearly empty. The service from the manager is really rude, she will ignore any requests you make despite saying 'yes that's fine' in the first place. They don't deal well with allergies. I wouldn't recommend and won't be returning. If you work in the hospitality industry you should at least be polite to customers.
Update. Nov 2021. Really happy with our food today. Nice to see vegan options including fake meat on pizza and in pasta. Had a really nice vegan pate for starter and a vegan pepperoni pizza for main. Can't wait to go back. Food was tasty. Had the garlic, goats cheese and caramelised onion pizza sharing bread for starter, calzone and goats cheese Al forno. Service was OK. Back over pandemic and was able to eat outside with the dogs. Dog friendly. Enjoyed a pizza and fries. Friendly staff. If you want to be in the sun aim for later in the afternoon.
Visited with family and my 11 months old on Friday.Asked for drinks got completely opposite order but we accepted it to be nice. Asked for spaghetti with king prawns without chilli and specifically said I’ll share it with my little one so no chilli at all. Didn’t think I have to taste it before I start feeding her to make sure it doesn’t have any chilli how I asked so started to feed her just to find out they put chilli in it and my little one was in an absolute agony, crying her lungs out and I couldn’t calm her down for almost half an hour. Staff told me they only put garnish no chilli means no chilli!!!! on in, but after I gave her a bit I had some myself and could taste the chilli in it. So disappointed by staff and their absolute ignorance. Would expect some kind of apology and responsibility for something that dangerous!! The fact we just didn’t pay for service charge with our almost £120 bill is ridiculous. For a restaurant that is a little bit pricey I would expect professional behaviour and some proper training how to manage customer service but obviously that’s something what this restaurant is strongly missing! Food was average nothing special. Kid-friendliness: Don’t care about kids at all!
Went for a meal with the family and the restaurant was not busy. Everything started well we were given the menus and ordered the food however that’s where everything went downhill. The service was poor and everything took forever. We finished our meals which I would say was delicious and their calamari has really improved after we were waiting to get our desserts however the employees kept looking at our direction and walking past or they would make eye contact and look away. This kept going for more than half an hour and we literally had to get up and get the attention of someone since they all acted like we were invisible. We finally managed to get hold of someone and even then the dessert took more time to come that we were actually thinking of just walking out because they can’t be serious. I have been here before but this time the service is the worst. Not in a rush to come back anytime soon. Kid-friendliness: Nonexistent
Food was great but when I went to pay card wouldn't work and they wouldn't take cash. My family paid for me very embarrassing. My card worked at the cinema, won't be returning to Prezzos in Braintree unless they will accept cash as a back up!!!!!!
Food was good but service from the manager was awful, put a downer on my friends birthday meal. My friend wanted a starter as a main course due to various allergy restrictions and we asked the manager when we ordered if we can still have this on the tastecard offer 2 for 1 as a main dish and she said yes. When it came to paying the bill she went back on this and said we couldn’t have the tastecard offer. If she had told us this at the beginning when we checked with her we would’ve just ordered a main, rather than the starter. Complete computer says no moment. She could’ve admitted she was in the wrong and removed the dish from our bill but she didn’t. Instead she was extremely patronising, inferring that we were stupid, saying that WE misunderstood HER and that we clearly don’t ‘understand’ the offer. Yes we do, that’s why we checked with her at the beginning. We argued our case but agreed to pay in the end because we had to be somewhere. What happened to the customer is always right? Why say yes to us in the first place? Awful and rude service, despite knowing it was a birthday meal!. I worked as a waitress for four years and we always strived to make the customer happy, even giving free desserts on birthdays yet this woman wouldn’t even take the starter off our bill for the tastecard offer even though she said at the beginning she would! Working in the hospital industry I would never make promises that I didn’t plan on keeping. Won’t be returning, absolutely flabbergasted at the rudeness of the manager.
Tasty Italian food. Visited last night and had a lovely meal. Waiters were brilliant and the restaurant had a nice happy feel to it. A little understaffed but generally a wonderful meal thank you.
