Very average food. Tasteless really. Service okay if a little nonchalant. Make sure you get the offer voucher from their website first it's the only highlight really.
Not overly great. The hostesses face dropped when she saw we had kids and the second we mentioned using Clubcard vouchers she became uninterested in us. The food overall was OK. The kids meals I couldn't fault, you get a very generously sized pizza, a starter, a drink and a dessert for just under £7. The adult meals however we're not that good. I had calamari to start which was dry and very overcooked. My wife had garlic mushrooms and found a date label in her salad which is disgusting and totally unacceptable. We brought this to the attention of the waitress who merely shrugged and said she would tell the chef. For my main I had the steak and gorgonzola pizza which had far too much gorgonzola on and mountains of rocket. My wife had the pork belly which was about 70% pure fat, her vegetables were also stone cold. Overall a disappointing experience, if it weren't for the fact we essentially got the meal for free using Clubcard points I would have given it one star.
The service was very poor. We ordered our drink, starter n main. We had to wait 30min for the drink to arrive. Then he brought the starter but did not give us spare plates to share. When he brought the main we have asked for a sauce and he said he'll bring it but we waited and waited, them we started to eat but he still didn't bring it. When they came to collect the plate there was no mention of "I am sorry, I forgot to bring the sauce" so I made it clear that I asked for a sauce and it never arrived. The food was very bland and lacked in flavour. Not worth a penny. I would've been better off with the M&S dine in for 2. Just top all this, when I paid the bill I found out that it was the manager who served us. I will not recommend this prezzo branch to anyone. I've had better services elsewhere.
Got our order wrong, but not too bothered by this- it happens. Made worse however by a member of staff smashing a wine glass next to our table. Accidents happen so not bothered by that either but shards of glass flew onto one of our heads, our table and two, possibly three of our plates. We asked politely if our meals could be replaced we didn't particularly want to swallow glass and were met with a filthy look from the waitress. She reluctantly took the plates away and had them replaced without a word of apology even though we had not made a fuss. Gristle in the lasagne. Unidentified hard tooth like lump found on the pizza don't even want to consider what it might actually have been!. Burnt calzone dessert could only eat half of it. Had to go and ask for the bill at the bar as we had been waiting an age. Absolutely miserable staff. Overall, quite a terrible experience and no-one there cares one little bit. Will never go to a Prezzo again in my life.
. Always deliver some very tasty food . Drinks are a little pricy £6.50 for a small wine . Service can sometimes be a little hit and miss, especially from the none English staff. . Decor is fantastic and very clean Defiantly one of the better prezzo's in the chain.
Ordered a two ingredient pizza. Prosciutto and asparagus. It arrived with no asparagus. Waitress said she would bring aparagus. When it arrived it was all stems, no tips and cold from the refrigerator. You couldn't make it up. Stay away!
We explained when booking that we'd need to be out by a set time, we were told that was fine. When we got there, they laughed in our faces and said "no chance". No wonder Prezzo have decided to close this branch.
I always go for the 2 for 1 deals. On Barnstaple High Street, Prezzo serves simple and delicious Italian cuisine in an elegant and cosy setting. Barnstaple Rail Station is a 10-minute walk from Prezzo. Featuring award-winning pizzas, the Prezzo menu also features a great range of risottos, pasta and salads, and there are delicious specials that change regularly. Prezzo restaurant offers diners a good choice of tasty antipasti dishes, in addition to speciality folded calzone pizzas. The indulgent dessert list reveals Italian favourites like tiramisu and panna cotta, while the extensive wine list has a good range of Italian bottles. With attentive and friendly service, Prezzo – Barnsataple offers stylish Italian dining at affordable prices. There is a popular kids menu, along with a good range of vegetarian options. Prezzo in Barnstaple has an open kitchen where people can watch the chefs preparing Prezzo’s fresh and tasty pizzas.
Pizza in this place its tasty, crispy and big....worth Your money. Place its stylish and clean. However bit understaffed so You may wait to be served.
A lovely interior with the fire oven in full view of all the diners. 4 stars as the food wasn't the best out of other prezzo I've been to
