The staff here are always wonderfully polite, friendly, and helpful. The menu is equally as nice, with options for vegans like me! Which can be hard to find, so knowing such a popular chain restaurant has options is great. The restaurant is located in a historical building with warm inviting decor. Perfecting for a relaxed meal. Although the food and location Is wonderful, its the ever amazing staff that truly wins this place the 5 stars.

Fantastic food, good amount of choice, dietary requirements will catered for. The staff were helpful & knowledgeable. A delicious meal, we'd definitely recommend to others.

Poor management of reservations and staff were patronising. We reserved a table for 5 but when we arrived we were told the only round table in the restaurant was already reserved! We were seated right at the back in an alcove, segrigated from the main seating, barely big enough for 2 people let alone 5. Annoyingly after we started eating I received a call from the a member of staff in the restaurant asking if we were still coming! The 'said' round table was actually meant for us but staff seemed oblivious to why I was upset. Another thing that annoyed my was the fact that there was more seating upstairs all empty!! I felt that they wanted us hidden! Shame as the food was ok but I won't be visiting again.

Staff friendly and helpful, however, waitress did not have sufficient information about the vegan options. I asked for some help with the menu and she advised that i could have the garlic bread with mozzarella, garlic dough balls and anything with a V next to it. This isn't the case as the vegan options have a VE and the 'normal' mozzarella isn't vegan. We spoke with the chef instead (as our table was next to the chef station) and had a very nice meal of dough balls with passata (instead of garlic butter) and the vegan pizza. The voucher code we mentioned prior to ordering was not scanned there and then and therefore the bill had to be done twice; the revised bill was still higher than expected and when we asked why, were advised that it was because we ordered the Romana version of the pizza. We were not advised at the time of ordering that this style had a surcharge, yet we were recommended it by the waitress. For openness and clarity, I think that surcharges to voucher offers should be discussed when ordering. We will return as the food was good (though very expensive without voucher codes - £35 for 2 starters, 2 pizzas, one coke), but the waiting staff definitely need to be trained in allergen information.
