Check-in was faster done on the machines. Two staff on for evening meals and one of them didn't know what he was doing bringing food too quickly when the first meal wasn't finished. Food was sitting waiting to be taken to tables for a long time.nNo one on the front desk in the evenings with people waiting a long time to check-in.nBedroom served its purpose but the connecting door meant that all sounds of the neighbouring room child kicking a ball around and loud TV caused a disturbance.nTake-away: Please make sure you have enough staff to serve all your guests.
A one-night stay prior to setting off on a cruise for which the location of the hotel is very good 1.7m from Ocean Terminal. Also, plenty of bars and restaurants within a short walking time plus good bus links. Check-in was swift, the rooms, as always, were smart, clean and what you expect from PI plus very well sound-proofed from the main road outside 3rd floor was anyway.. Staff all very pleasant. Will definitely use if down this way again.
Oh boy where to start. Let's get the good out of the way it won't take long.nNice roomsnnRight now that's over with - we got told off by staff for being too loud when having a drink at the bar before heading out. What time was it you ask? About 5pm. Yes 5pm not 2am when everyone is trying to sleep. Oh I suppose you think it was packed and people eating etc then? Nope also we was the only ones in there. Strange.nnSpeaking of strange, your night member of staff michael wouldn't give me his surname but I'd think twice about bullying him at an American high school if you know what I mean refused to tell me which room number my friend was staying in. We had a room card and he was in my room after a night out, just needed him to tell me which room this card was attached to.nnNope, confiscated the card and started saying things like protocol and made me wake up about 3 members of our group from their rooms to confirm my friend was staying here. Take this man off the night shift away from customer service and check his hard drivennBreakfast was naf for 11 quid as well jokers
It was fine. Man at the front desk didn't seem to be particularly interested in his job and housekeeping tried to come in at 1000 despite checkout being somewhat later.nnOther than that a perfectly good Premier inn in a good location nr the centre.nnAs with Premier Inn in general - a good, standard hotel that does the job. Comfortable bed, good shower.
Lovely cheap stay only cost us £41 for a Thursday night, breakfast was nice and had lots of choice for my 10 month old and allergy information too upon request. Rooms were nice, bathroom spacious and clean.
