We stayed here one night before a cruise. I'd have given 4 stars if the price was more reasonable.nnPros:n- very comfortable bed and pillowsn- great bar plus the hotel stay included 2 free drinksn- good shower pressurennCons:n- sewage smell after using sink and toilet but thankfully not the showern- air conditioning temperature was limited to 23.5 degrees at night; a sign indicated they're doing it in the name of the environment, but the profit margin is more likely the real reason; it was too hot to sleep so we had to open the window but the traffic and construction noise was unbearably loudn- no hotel lobby you check in at the barn- price for quality of room and establishment was excessive
Hotel is okay. Rooms and bathrooms are very small, only queen beds. Our room was clean and quiet. Breakfast is expensive for what you get.nWe arrived at 9:30 am and had asked for noon check innThey won't check anyone in before 3:00. Said they don't know when rooms are ready. My advice, get off your but and check on housekeeping. We've stayed at many Marriott properties and never treated with such disrespect.nAs a travel agent I will not recommend this location to any of my clients fling in to cruise out of South Hampton.
The staff here are really nice but if you turn up on a cruise day expect it to be busy. We queued for about 5 minutes to check in and every room was taken.nnThe rooms are beautiful as is the reception and feels fun. This is one of the small Moxy hotels and as a result there is no gym.nnThe rooms aren't large but they are more than reasonable for one night for two sharing with someone.nnBreakfast was extremely busy so we ate away from the main area. Would stay again!
Overall great location but that is about where it ended.nRoom was very poorly insulated and very loud, we could hear the sounds from the room above, the bar below, the hallways, all created a sleepless night. We booked a cab through the hotel, they initially forgot and then posted the wrong time, we asked to correct it they said the cabs were busy and they couldn't it was a very busy weekend, we just walked outside and flagged a taxi down within a couple of minutes.
This hotel is incredibly loud. You can hear every door slamming in the hotel and the walls/floors must be quite thin as you can hear people walking/talking constantly. The door slamming is the worst - it practically shakes the whole room and is quite literally constant. Do not recommend if you want a decent night sleep.
