The room and service were good. But the big downfall was how loud the rooms above! The floors are very creaky so any movement above was so loud! I’d highly recommend requesting a top floor room to avoid a disturbed evening. Beautiful updated room so such a shame it didn’t sound as peaceful as it looked!nnThere was also a strong smoke smell. Noticed it immediately when I walked in but sprayed some perfume and the room aired out. But the bathroom was very strong and smelt strongly of weed throughout the night. Was a bit worried my work clothes would end up smelling like I’d been smoking weed all night which obviously wouldn’t be the best impression on a business event! Didn’t bother me too much as keeping the bathroom door shut helped but something to be aware of if you plan on bringing children. My main issue was the noise!
One of the best Premier inn hotel we have stayed to take a break from alton tower watermark. Reception was great and managed very well. The location is really good with a macdonald opposite and restaurant next door. Easy with kids and the town centre is also close by. 10 min drive if you want to eat something else. WiFi was excellent
It's a lovely Premier inn, the staff there are lovely .nI had trouble with hot water, but it soon solved very quickly.nThe breakfast wasn't all that I would rate it a 4 / 5 as it was just luke warm .nThe location was ok. However, as you turn into the road near McDonald's, there is a very big deep pot hole.nI didn't see the pot hole coming into the road as it was very late at night .
Couldn't fault it for the price, immaculately clean, friendly staff, fast check-in, and check-out. The breakfast buffet had a good choice and was excellent value for money as well as plentiful.
Had a twin room. The 2nd bed was really hard and totally uncomfortable. Despite it being 12°C outside the room was very hot and you can’t open the windows. The air con took ages to cool the room down and was very loud. The pillows were very thick and hard, using them means your neck is bent and very uncomfortable, I asked for different ones but the over night staff member told me they are all the same. Asked for a room change at 3.30am to be told the hotel was fully booked on a random Tuesday night in July. I’ve stayed in premier inn a lot and this is the worst one I’ve experienced. I’ll avoid this brand from now on.nDay time staff were polite, helpful and pleasant. Nighttime staff didn’t care. But my main problems were the pillows and the heat, totally unacceptable.
