March 2018 update: Here we are again. Back in room 219 courtesy a quick phone call to Leanne. We were greeted by a lovely young lady called Cathy and we met Claire too. Nothing has changed - this is still a great place to stay. September 2017: This hotel was very easy to find and there is lots of free parking. We were greeted by Emma - a very helpful and personable young lady. Our room was 219 on the top floor at end. It was very quiet. (The odd-numbered rooms on the 2nd floor are at the rear of the hotel). All the usual excellent Premier Inn room amenities were available. Everything was up to standard, clean and tidy. Recommended. It is a 5 minute walk to a large Tesco store and only a 15 minute walk to Rugeley town centre. The Trent & Mersey Canal towpath is a 3 minute wander from hotel. The eatery next door - The Colliers - has good food and service although not an extensive menu compared to some. Having said that, it has something for all tastes.

Simple hotel with great crew. It's not a brand new place (in fact it's an old building), but it performs perfectly as what it intends to be. Only one floor, so you could be facing McDonald's. It has a quite good restaurant attached to it, where despite the service is slow as a turtle, the food is tasty, cooked with care and great.

Very friendly reception staff. The room was clean and the bed so comfortable. Everything you need for a nights stay. Had a good breakfast the following morning. All well worth the money.

Very clean but we had to go across the road to get breakfast which you had to pay for beds was comfortable staff very friendly and helpfull very expensive for just for a room to sleep in
