Attended for early tea, arrived around 4pm, two other tables occupied already. Had to wait to be seated, two staff members walked past us, one went to the bar area, the other had her coat on and shouted to other staff she'd be back in about 15 minutes. When seated with menus in hand, the table behind us took priority over he order as it required clearing. Service is always slow in our experience so we never go there unless we have time to kill. The food is good enough quality, plenty of choice, but we usually only go when we have a voucher for money off. it's about time the owners brought in more staff, refurbished the décor to clean the place up. Curtains hang off the rails and chair seats are quite stained. Having said all that those staff working are very friendly and do as much as they can to make sure your meal is a pleasant affair. It's handy for us when grocery shopping with McDonald's our only other option.

First and foremost I must mention how wonderful the staff were during our short visit (2 nights). Special mention goes to ROBERTA on reception who went above and beyond for us on several occasions. However all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Now onto the bad; the food was absolutely terrible. We had a dinner that we had to return and even the replacement meal was bad. Also the breakfast wasn’t great either. Again the staff were great (apart from the chef). Also the room was a bit cold and the heater was very loud so couldn’t sleep with it on (although we are light sleepers). The shower too was poor and ran out of water at one point.

Great place to stay. Warm welcome, beds as always a dream to sleep in. Nice wee bar and restaurant. Breakfast ! Unreal... So much to eat :)

The hotel is basic, medium size room, bath, very basic clothing storage, stuck to the wall. WiFi signal in my room rather low, with restricted data to try to sell you faster service. I purchase MEAL DEAL that gives you 1 drink {pint of larger) main course plus choice of starter or desert... Sorry cannot have a specific type of meat cut... It cost a few pounds more than average. I could pay the extra !!... Let's leave it, the menu has many dishes. Still a little disappointed.

Excellent service and staff. Restaurant was one of the best in Premier Inn that I have visited. Good location and clean comfortable rooms.
