We stayed here for a couple of days when my brother got married nearby. The staff looked after us and were very helpful when the system went down on all the rokm cards, they helped as much as they could.nLovely breakfast served too and great offer where kids eat free!
After visiting several Premier Inn locations over the years I can honestly say this is one of the best. The hotel itself has a modern style the room we have is a really top range even though it is not a Premier plus. Breakfast this morning was very well cooked and the attention to detail from the chef was fantastic last night's meal was also of a great standard I ordered the mixed grill and was asked how I wanted the steak and when it arrived it was exactly as requested this evening's meal was also of a high standard. Our main waiter this evening was a young gentleman by the name of Noel . A bright and breezy chap with a great outlook and so efficient a real credit to the location the rest of the staff to numerous to mention have made our stay so far fantastic and I cannot recommend this location enough and any future visit to Bury St Edmunds I will certainly be staying here.
Very central location with free parking - so convenient for town centre. Our standard room was a fair bit larger than the average PI room. Staff were friendly and always ready to help, no issues with the breakfast. We've stayed in a few Premier Inns and I think this is the best all round. Building used to be a police station, in a lovely setting.
Nice hotel near to the abbey and in a good location generally.nPlenty of parking, but at an extra cost.nBedrooms were nice, with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was ok, but the shower head had pink and green stuff on it. It also leaked at the back, meaning that the Bathroom floor got very wet. It was cleaned partly but the leaking issue was not resolved.nBreakfast was average, either overcooked or undercooked, but cold. Had the pick the least dirty table, as the empty ones were all filthy.nThere is Internet, but it's very slow and not fit for purpose, if you want to use a laptop forget about it.nYou have to pay for ultimate internet, so overall not the best experience.
What a great hotel and location, just outside the town centre has a local Starbucks and a large Tesco nearby. The breakfast was amazing quality and piping hot. Glenn the Chef is great asset to the brand and cannot thank him enough for is friendliness and hospitality during our stay, he certainly brightened up our mornings. 10/10
