I stayed here for two nights with four other friends to attend a wedding. I have nothing but praise for the rooms, the restaurant and bar and in particular the service. The staff were very polite and charming and all our requests were answered with a smile. I wish to make special mention of Julia and Grace for their excellent service. I intend to stay there again if I need to travel to Bury St Edmunds.
Staff are nice and breakfast is fine, but very disappointed with the rooms. Rooms are very small..no couch, just one chair. Not much wardrobe space, no drawers in which to put clothes instead of having them sit in the suitcase, no bottled water, very small bathroom. Would not recommend this hotel. We had to pay €20 to get an early check in after we had travelled almost 24 hours from Australia. All we wanted was a shower and get some sleep. Why €20? We are upset and angry at this whole experience.
Great place with lovely breakfast.nVery disappointed with being charged £10 fa early check-in! Room was clearly ready.....so £10 just to be handed a key depending on the time. Also being charged £9 to park in their car park which ain't mentioned.
The place was good and the location excellent.rooms ok food good and the staff could be nicer. But got a shock when we were told we had t pay £ 10 pounds to book in before 3 and 9 pounds to park in the car park.
Stayed here over the weekend with our family. Large car park front and back. Good comfortable rooms. Breakfast Sunday was very good and Mel was our waitress, she gave our kids some colouring to do which was fantastic. All staff super friendly
