Not far off the M25. Stayed here so I could get a train into London for an appointment. It is within walking distance 0.8 miles of Chessington south station on the line to Waterloo. It is very close to Chessington World of Adventure, which I walked past on my way to the station. The room was smaller than other Premier Inns I have used. Everything you needed was there. The bed is the most important and was comfortable, as usual. The heater worked well until the air conditioning unit, directly above it, kicked in & cancelled out the heater. Couldn't work out the electronic controls & there's no on / off switch on the aircon. Ended up turning both off & got into bed. There was an unpleasant strong smell of musty damp from the bathroom. It looked superficially clean but I had to keep the door closed to stop the smell permeating into the room. There is a Beefeater next door. Can't comment on it as I didn't go there.
Hotel was a complete disgrace, the first room we were given had mould between the tiles in the bathroom paint flaking off the wall in the room itself of which flakes were even on the floor the the damp mould smell made it impossible for us to stay in the room!!! Maybe a visit from the environmental health wouldn't go amiss after complaining to staff we moved to our second room this time as well as mouldy smell toilet was leaking heater did not work. Moved to room 3 heater work bed had seen better days but as we were on a trip for a special occasion we decided to stay. The Staff at the hotel were as helpful as possible but the hotel and the Premier Inn group have massively let them down in a big way I will certainly be writing a complaint and may even be writing to environmental standards
Poor really. Given a disabled Room, the bathroom flooring was dirty, there was a crack in the TV screen across the full width. Couldn't access the heating panel on the wall, the room was freezing. Not good enough Premier Inn, sorry.Rooms: 2/5
The staff greeting was not up to standard, and their dress code is very relaxed for a Premier Inn. The room was okay, a little dirty. There was a large piece of snot on the shower curtain and a few hairs in the sink. The bed was okay but loud and squeaky under any movement. Wi-Fi on the first day was okay but on the second day it was far worse, and I kept losing connection while I was working. There was an odd heavily drunk man roaming the place and staff seemed to know him like he is a regular which was surprising.
Noisy and cold, difficult to sleep. Cars blaring loud music in the car park on and off throughout night. It's on a noisy road too and the noise insulation isn't up to scratch. Could hear other guests banging around too. Kept cranking up the heating, in the end set it to 25C, but the heater is really weak, one little electric wall heater for the room wasn't enough. The AC unit didn't switch on at all. The workmanship in the rooms isn't great, bathroom was a bit grim. Overall not the best Premier Inn, not up to the usual standard.
Great deal for 2 course meal. Drink and breakfast. Both of us Spent night sneezing and coughing, discovered mould at ceiling in 2 corners of the room. Bathroom door had to be kept closed as steam from shower / bath can set off alarm. Extractor in bathroom didn't work maybe if fixed would help to reduce eradicate mould. Rooms: Unfortunate about mould in corners of ceiling.
Stayed here as working locally and always opt for a premier inn, very basic smelt a bit musty, sheets were not dirty but a little dusty and didn’t smell fresh. Walls are so thin I didn’t sleep most of the night as person next door was snoring felt like I was sharing a bed with them.Rooms: 1/5
A mixed bag here. My parents got a room of the standard you would expect of Premier Inn, upstairs. I had a room that smelt horrendously of damp/mould, downstairs. Having the Beefeater next door is useful and of course the proximity a five minute walk to the Chessington entrance.
Room was starting to show its age but comfy and with air con so great for having a 6 month old as could make sure just right temp. Oddly seemed like the corridor air freshener was lynx Africa was all we could smell.Rooms: 4/5
For some reason with no explanation we were moved to another premiere inn hotel for it upcoming visit to Chessington at the end of March. We had booked a family room way in advance and the evening and breakfast meal deal. As parking could not be guaranteed in the new hotel and you had to pay for it £8 per night we decided to cancel our reservation but we have only been refunded the room and not the evening meal and breakfast we have paid for. Customer service for premiere inn is non existent and get passed from dedicated customer line to hotel and back again as no one wants to take responsibility and led to one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have ever had. The hotel does not answer phone and when I finally got thr ough to the beefeater next door they had said staff had quit and the hotel was in disarray, very worrying. To say I am disappointed is an understatement and now we have to try and ring premiere inn again to find out why we have not recieved a full refund. I expect better and it I could give 0 stars I would. You have now lost a customer going forward.
