I always look forward to having a meal at Prego whenever we find ourselves in the area. I absolutely love the penne salsiccia and had to order a second portion the first time I had it. That said, all of the dishes seem well prepared, presented and full of flavour. The gnocchi is excellent too! Highly recommended.
First visit and will be back very very soon.nLovely atmosphere, the place has a real buzz, very knowledgeable and friendly waiting staff. Food was amazing, fresh, tasty and inexpensive for what we had.nThe coffees are to die for.nWell said we'd be back and we were. Birthday dinner. Didn't think it was possible but it was even better than the first visit. Stunning meals in a lovely friendly atmosphere.
Disappointing this time round.nFood very salty.nSauce especially on both our meals.nExpensive for what it is.n£160 Inc wine,and aperitifs for 2.nStarter and dessert nice.
I am finding it hard to right a review, we found the food to be good, but noticed a high taste of garlic and salt with my mushroom on toast , and my pasta carbonara, but unfortunately my tummy disagreed badly , this was shared with my wife, and also she is feeling terrible, I have been extremely unwell for 2 3 days and seen by the hospital, they told me I have investigated a large amount of garlic / salt and damaged the stomach lining, and I have to go back for other tests , I can't eat or drink water without being sick or running to the toilet.nnAnd there I thought I had a tummy bug or something , but the hospital at 2am this morning confirmed that I had a large dose of garlic/salt , and kept in just incase of bleeding,nThe pain with the swelling is making me close to passing out.nnI have noticed some more reviewswith the same problem , I just hope it's not caused me or anyone any damage long term
Always get a great meal, great service, lovely atmosphere would highly recommend a visit and you won't be disappointed
