Great quality fusion of hispanolatino tapas. Amazing service, and prices too! Can't wait to be back on a Saturday night for the live music.
Great food, lovely friendly owner & very relaxed
Lovely place with nice waiters and decor, creating a warm atmosphere. We went with a group of 7 4 adults and three older children and everyone enjoyed it and shared the food. They had options for all our dietary requirements- 1 person doesn't eat fish, another is vegetarian, and I am vegan -and it wasn't too expensive.
Kind staff, good layout. Some food great like the Spanish omelette but some a bit odd - too much sugar seemed a theme. Chorizo sauce was overly sweet and the deep fried aubergine was lathered in marmalade. Generous portions and decent value. Will be back though as feel this is fundamentally a good place.
Again no live music despite advertising such. I even called to confirm two days before. Don't advertise to have live music every weekend if you don't. Twice we've come for it and no show. Food was ok, some dishes better than others. Menu needs refreshing as it is limited
A very lively Friday night late dinner after Guy Fawkes at Ally Pally. We were cold and hungry and this place was warm and waiter was extremely friendly. Food was tasty and as it’s tapas, we got to order a lot and try heaps of things. Cheese and potatoes were a standout for me.
The stars are mainly for the live band, who were fantastic and provided all of the atmosphere. However, the food was average at best under seasoned and a little dry in places - e.g. the prawns. And the service was subpar. We had to ask several times for the same things, they forgot to bring things and they just seemed a little overwhelmed. Still, very friendly, so I felt bad for them, but realistically, not the standard I expect.
I really had high expectations of this place, maybe I ordered the wrong dish, the garlic bread, white bait and green beans were perfectly fine but the paella was disgusting. Two whole king prawns and then king prawn heads and cheap chicken thighs with overcooked rice smothered in tomato sauce and oil and cheap squid. This dish cost £23 for a two people portion which we couldn't finish, not because we were full up from the previous dishes but because this dish was so fatty! Paella is a healthy dish and whoever is making it at this restuarant is letting them down. I will not say this place is a no go but it is not authentic Spanish cuisine.
5 stars for the Live Cuban band. They play every Saturday evening. The food and service wasn't impressive. Probably better to go there for drinks and the band.
We were very excited about finding this little gem in our neighbourhood so when our parents were in town we decided to check it out. Unfortunately the night could not go any worse than it did. They informed us half way through that their card machine wasn't working which is fine... I guess it happens. Then we were informed that they had run out of beer!!!!! ... and to top it off they completely forgot our order which "had gotten lost in the system" so after spending an hour waiting for it we had to put in the order AGAIN! ... shame they are so unorganised because the place could have a lot of potential.
