Wonderful people. If there's a god, here is proof he exists. Magnificent times with incredible humans. There's some old looking stuff on the wall and the man shook my hand. Not sure what else to say except the fact that 'have you ever seen the rain' is a wonderful track. Creedence Clearwater revival. I regret not being born in the 60s but also am glad I missed by a couple of decades because I'm further from death than maybe I might have been. Thank god for delayed insemination
Nicola Gtant is THE BEST!!!!! I had problems at work and she helped me. I can honestly advise you to use the office for any legal advice. Thank you Nicola!!!!!
Paul Hicks dealt with my husband’s Financial order. We have had to go through 2 other useless solicitors to finally find someone who brought it to resolution. Highly recommend him, Mandy Armstrong
I wouldn’t touch this company with a barge pole. They acted for my 1st time cash buyer in a so say “quick sale “ which took them 51 weeks to complete as they were clearly prioritising other cases over our transaction. The legal executive Jenny Collins showed scant regard for my situation as Seller & as a result I missed out on valuable financial opportunities on land I was subsequently buying from the equity. If you want to complete at a snails pace choose this firm & use their dismissive & arrogant Jenny Collins!
Its very fun and good food and good fun
I employed PowellsLaw to do a house sale conveyance for me, with the property being in another part of the UK from where I was temporarily residing. Things went sour however, when in an email I was asked to provide a correspondence address. It was not stipulated why this was required, and so I asked wondering as to its significance in the conveyancing process. I also pointed out that the temporary address where I was residing was not my own, and that the person who owns the property wasn’t keen on their address being used in a legal process they were not part of. I also pointed out the correspondence address would effectively become obsolete, once I’d sold my house and moved onto another address. All this information was intended to convey openness and transparency, as well as paint a picture of my situation. So how did PowellsLaw respond? Well in a brief one-liner from my conveyance Solicitor Ms Moore, it was stated…’’Given your comments with regard to correspondence address, I am afraid that we are no longer able to act for you in this matter. I have to say I was shocked by this response, frustrated too by a lack of explanation as to what specifically the issue was. The matter is even more confusing when you consider I supplied a correspondence address within an hour of Ms Moore’s dismissal, saying I hoped she would reconsider her position and continue to act for me, but to no avail. Not happy with the way I was dismissed I contacted Stephen Soper, who on PowellsLaw’s website is given the title of ‘Complaint Handler’. When Stephen replied, the response was woefully short, and in my opinion somewhat offhanded. The opening statement read…’’As a firm we are entitled to decide who we will or will not act for…’’. With a comment like that, it makes me wonder if there was any chance of my complaint receiving fair assessment making me feel like I had wasted my time complaining. Having got nowhere complaining to Powell’sLaw, I needed important documents I’d given them to be returned. Namely…Original House Deeds paperwork, and a gas safety certificate, both of which were in the safe keeping of Powell’sLaw – or so I thought! A week or so after my dismissal from the firm, I emailed Ms Moore informing her of the following: ‘As you have not seen fit to advise retrieval of my House Deeds documents…supplied to the firm before being dismissed from your service, I will visit your building to collect them.’’ I could not believe the reply I received when Ms Moore announced in a nonchalant one-line that ‘’the miscellaneous papers as she called them were returned to the property address.’’ In three emails during my correspondence with Ms Moore, I stated I was not living at the address of the property being sold. Knowing that fact, why send important documents to an address I was not living at without first consulting with me to see if it was alright? Furthermore, I was not even advised this action had taken place, which smacks of sheer complacency! As a result of these failures I was now in a position whereby crucial documents needed by my New solicitor were over a 100 miles away, a fact I pointed out to Ms Moore. I also asked her how she proposed to resolve the matter, but receive NO REPLY. I have to say the way Powell’sLaw has acted has caused great frustration… along with moments of anxiety and stress. In my view they operate with a level of unprofessionalism…together with aspects of complacency. As to the way the firm dealt with returning important legal documents I supplied to them, I have nothing but contempt! In conclusion, my overall impression into the impersonal way I was treated by Powellslaw, is to jump when they tell you to and not to ask questions. They...are the master, you are but an insignificant number branded on their system.
I have just had a brief encounter with Powells private client department and Jane Lynn was extremly helpful, efficient and sympathetic to my enquiry at a difficult time for our family.
They are representing my ex-partner and so I have e-mailed them several times over different issues and they either dont respond at all saying they haven't recieved the mails or acknowledge the emails but refuse to send over the information that's required. They seemingly also omitted a vital part of the order from the draft and despite the fact I emailed them immediately to tell them, they still left it out of thr final order, potentially putting my daughter in to a seriously risky situation - despicable. As to your reply; What utter lies. Through your advice to my ex I am unable to get a solicitor in Weston due to EVERY SINGLE ONE saying there is a conflict of interests. How is that fair? I'm entitled to a fair hearing, a basic right. Your solicitor lied in court saying I could use a certain bus to get my child to school what you didnt mention is that the bus route didnt start until 9:30 making me over an hour and a half late you then objected when I wanted to use my phone to clarify. Isn't knowingly lying in court an offence in itself? Your representative was demeaning and patronising throughout the whole process. You managed to twiddle the magistrates around your fingers but the judge knew what was going on. Completely unprofessional and underhand in every single way possible
They break the rules of solicitor’s governing body take your money and don’t fulfill their contractual commitments then won’t answer when questioned why they are breaching legal commitments contractual agreements etc awful company wouldn’t recommend at all if I could give no stars I would
Really efficient and helpful in preparing my will. Reasonable price too.
