Poundland offers a huge variety of products from poorly produced children's toys, to tools that are barely fit for purpose amongst some cheap sweets and canned drinks and CD's of previously popular artists like The Lighthouse Family and Shania Twain. I recently bought an iphone charger from there while desperate to send a few files to a printer. needless to say the charger has never worked, but being £1.00 was not worth the hassle of returning. I imagine they make most of their money from the reluctance of unhappy customers to kick up a fuss over a singe pound. This is one of two pound shops within about 300 yards offering almost identical products.

Visited 3/4 hr before closing. Very long queue only one till open. A chap asked staff if another till could be opened 2 members of staff ignored him . Supervisor arrived then manager who were rude basically called the chap mate and said he could shop somewhere else if he didn't like it. And when asked for head office address they said they didn't have it. Crap service all round plus a few disgruntled customers.
