The best! I recommend that you go here if you have not. It is an amazing place to shop. Although they have changed it around, it is easier to find what you actually want from the shop. I hope you enjoy your time there!
Visited Poundland Tewkesbury today as I have for the last year or so, I had my dog who is a well behaved Cocker Spaniel on a short lead, I approached the first till and was immediately shouted at by the 2nd till operator who’s name was Karen from a distance of around 8-10 feet, she stated that all dogs should be carried around the store!! At first I thought that this was some sort of joke and said “are you serious?” She the. Said it was on the door, it’s because you sell dog food. Firstly I do not appreciate being shouted to from distance in front of other customers. Secondly, pet shops allow dogs to walk around their stores, I cannot understand why this policy is applicable with Poundland, my dog was on a lead!! Thirdly I have looked at the front entrance and there is no policy displayed as far as I can see, the doors were open so I can only assume that the notice was hidden! Fourthly I am a pensioner, to carry my dog and shop would be difficult for anyone. I have been in customer service for over thirty years and I would never dream of talking to anyone in the way I was, totally unprofessional and quite frankly ignorant.

my friend ran into Poundland since she was crying and there was a gang of people following her and they were being horrible to her and a Poundland worker came up to me telling me to shut up when I had said nothing. had ago at my friend for “just abit of water” when she looked like she just got out the shower. followed me around the shop which made me uncomfortable and put it across as me being “poor” because I couldn’t afford to buy 2 things. she stated that “kids like me” should be sent to a private school and not come back. she was acting unpleasantly and I had done nothing to the woman so she should learn some respect.
There was a queue for being served but overall a good experience

My first visit today and a lady in a mobility scooter was being served by a assistant about 60 with glasses on ,she spoke to the lady in a disrespectful way and I was shocked and upset,the manager needs to train the staff to be compassionate to all customer's

I ran into Poundland crying because someone drenched me with water and a staff member Barbara told me to leave or she will call the police saying “it was a bit of water” I was drenched and threatened to call the police.She also called my friend poor because she didn’t have enough money for something and stated that kids like her should be sent to private school and to never come back from it
Poundland is overpriced. I shop in a small town so the choices for say hardware is either really overpriced smal fam business or PL. I found yesterday when looking for craft supply WHSmith were better deal! I think people are going to PL out of habit my advice - shop around folks. On plus they r well staffed plenty of people on floor stacking etc who jump on tills when needed. It is always clean, important when selling food.
