We love are Poundland in chester le street durham the staff now are lovely very helpful and friendly we are in every Wednesday

Went in for 4 pack of red bull got the check out i provide adequate ID and they still wouldn’t serve me. The staff tried to make be believe that you have to be 25 to buy a engery drink when the legal age limit is 16

Gimmicky voices on the machines are incredibly annoying, loud and obnoxious. Staff actively encourage customers to use the machines which makes me feel forced to use them when we were assured we could use the "manned" checkouts which are very rarely manned. When we stand by the "manned" checkouts hoping for a human without an annoying gimmicky voice to serve us we get directed to use the machines. I avoid shopping here now and when I do I rarely buy more than one or two items as my patience with the obnoxious machines is very thin. At least the normal voices the machines used to have were less annoying.

Good for dvd's & cd's, also screws and diy.  Lot of cleaning stuff, big packs of kitchen roll - always comes in handy.  Good brand selection of shower gels, deoderants for men & women - lot of cosmetics and scents.  Good selection of food, just got tins of meatballs 2 for £1 plenty of sweets and crisps as well.  Staff are very helpful, worth a visit.

You can get some great offers on in store and I usually go in for my washing tablets and get my vanish for a few quid but it is a lot cheaper than the supermarkets and you can also get other things that you get in the supermarkets in here to and cheaper and easier to get hold of as well

Mid size shop with 3 self serve & 3 staffed tills. Won't accept branded coupons. Nearby car park at Morrisons for 3 hours maximum but beware parking cameras.

POUND LAND HAVE GOT BRANCHES IN MANY TOWNS AND CITIES. THEY ARE GREAT FOR BROWSING AROUND IN. YOU CAN GET SOME DECENT BARGAINS IN POUNDLAND AND PLENTY OF PEOPLE LIKE TO VISIT THEM INCLUDING MYSELF.

Excellent size store and there are some bargains to be had so well worth a look, staff are brilliant, helpful and professional. They sell all different goods and have different deals on all the time so well worth a look in.

Chester-le-Street pound shop today and after my items had been packed and i was about 2 leave the shop a bottle of flash with bleach had not had the lid on properly it spilled all over the other items and through the bag i had bought as well from this shop onto my sons black nike tracksuit bottoms resulting in it bleaching them i reported it too the staff and manager for him 2 say contact the main store he didnt give me any details for it, Fuming 2 say the least.

One of the best shops although I have noticed that pound land rounds up products to a pound when those products are normaly sold for less than a pound
