To be clear this is a sub-post office operated by WH Smith, the counters are always understaffed even in off peak hours queuing for 15 minutes is normal, staff are poorly trained and often make mistakes, I have to weigh and measure each package prior to going in as they often quote me the wrong price, only when I query the price quoted do the counter staff review it and then quote me the correct price, nice little earner if their customer doesn't know any better. The shop has no heating and it is often very cold inside, in the winter the staff wear their coats and have heaters behind the counter for themselves but it is of no benefit to customers. The manager is a lazy lump, he often just stands around despite a massive queue and offers no assistance to customers, sometimes he does but often he doesn't.

Whoever is in charge of this place......Send in a secret shopper! I'm sure you'll get a shock and then at the very least send the workers here on a staff training course. There is one older woman who hasn't a clue what she's doing but never apologises for her mistakes. Rest of them aren't much better. If they hate their job that much then leave it and stop scowling at the customers!😠 I've never heard the words please or thank you in this shop. I was left standing in the queue for ages the last time I was in and there were no other customers. They saw me but not one of them even had the decency to say they'd be with me soon etc. I walked out and have never used it since. I wish they'd used the staff from our former post office who were pleasant and efficient. This place is an embarrassment to WH Smith.

Rude. Closed holiday monday but couldn't find this out for sure without physically going and checking and even then their sign said "open Mondays" with zero mention of bank holidays

It's a disgrace the number they have when you call and pick an option and want to speak to them they hang up as soon as it rings appalling 😡😡😡

The lady who dealt with me was pleasant .but the assistant who was sitting behind the glass had terrible attitude rolling the eyes and shaking her head as elderly gent who asked to check his balance of his PO account ..Then abruptly told him WRONG NUMBER..As he tried to make a light hearted joke about himself and technology ,she gave him a stare rolled the eyes and barked at him to try again .She would be better suited working in a back room away from customers.
