I always have a great service at the Liskeard branch with a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Lisa and the team are a credit to their roles and with the new happier set up within it makes it even more a pleasure to use. Been going there for at least 15 years for the many services that are on offer with many great members of staff to assist past and present, long may it continue
Having waited for 20 minutes to be served, I bought 100 dollars U.S., thinking I would get the advertised rate in the window of 1.15 , however this only applies if you order £1000 worth, I got 1.08 to the pound. Surely this should be made clear, and constitutes misleading advertising.
Staff are always smiling and friendly. They've helped me out a few times when posting stuff,I couldn't be more thankful.
The postman in Liskeard, clearly doesn't like stairs. I've waited in for 2 mornings this week and been up waiting from 6.30 for a parcel. First time I got a red card and a lie that it had tried to be delivered. 2 days later, another card and another lie that they'd knocked on my door and tried to deliver. They just can't be bothered to walk up the stairs. I can't collect so he's going to have to come and knock on my door at some point. He comes up external stairs with just the red card in his hand, with no intention of coming up the internal stairs and leaves card in communal area. Lazy. Plain lazy. Now I have to wait until Saturday for a parcel that was meant to be delivered on Tuesday. Terrible service. Abismal.
I use this Post Office almost daily, and the staff are wonderful. OK it's busy at Xmas, but there are NOT queues out the door at other times. Also there are other PO's locally you can use - Minions, Dobwalls, East Taphouse. Also, the Royal Mail delivers parcels and letters, the post office only process the first part. So if a parcel goes missing your first port of call for complaint is Royal Mail.
Ha!! So Minions, Dobwalls, East Taphouse are LOCAL? You're joking. They should never have closed Addington, they should never have reduced their counters from six to four, especially as all four are almost never open at once, and there should be an automated service for those who prefer it... However, I'm not criticising any of the staff, they're all fine. The problem is with the head office... And even if we do have a stiff letter box there is no need to crumple our mail. I used to deliver leaflets using both hands to post, even having a handful of folded leaflets in one hand, no problem.
Often so busy the queue is almost out the door. I don't quite understand why the branch at Addington was closed as that just made the main office busier. Most of the staff are very helpful once you've queued and are being served. I've taken to going to Dobwalls post office, much quicker service. Seriously, 25 minutes of queuing to get served, it's terrible. Sadly I have to go again tomorrow!
Great post office, helpful staff, been reading other reviews and yes it can get busy and the staff have a chat, which is ok, if you don't like that go to a bigger town where they won't bother
Staff are helpful but the branch needs to be responsive to number of customers. If the queue is going out of the door then more staff should be allocated to the counters. Poor management and lack of respect for customers many of whom are elderly. This issue is only going to get worse with NatWest closing so please start to be proactive
Horrendous, twice I sent recorded delivery items and neither of them got as far as out of the post office and disappeared! One contained all my personal details so now at high risk of identity fraud! An Amazon package was stolen by someone working there, and another recorded delivery item was opened prior to delivery. A gift card sent in a card was removed before being sent on! What is going on there? Needs an urgent overhaul of security and staff
