I openly admit that I work here and want to clear a few things up. Noticing a lot of old reviews that either don’t pertain to the current owner, ones that are issues regarding Royal Mail/International Postal Services and not the Post Office ourselves i.e. letters/cards not arriving - we accept them for posting but have nothing to do with their delivery. Some are just rude and don’t take into consideration that some things are outwith our control - sometimes we have to open/close at different times due to events such as illness, technical malfunctions or other emergencies. We apologise for the inconvenience these things cause but they’re not the fault of the staff. Please respect that we can be having an off day, sometimes things malfunction or we can accidentally miscount. We are human staff trying our best.
I gave one of the employees 6 cards with stamps on them to post to Finland on 13.6. Only one of the 6 have reached the receiver. What may have happened? So dissappointed.
Terrible times for opening and closing, they just seem to open and close whenever , polite staff, just Terrible times !
Can't understand the poor reviews here, bunch of naff tourists as admittedly I might also be classified maybe? I went in, posted a card, everyone was nice and prompt about it. Next day I went and bought a fridge magnet, same deal. Keep it up Portree Post. Also theyve got a dog as the official stamp licker. Fun place to stop at
One of the worst customer service I ever experienced, the woman in the glasses cant even count properly.
The old woman serving me is freaking rude, super unfriendly, and unhelpful. I've just bought a card and tried to write down some sentences on the front desk to post it. The old bloody woman told the old guy " Get him away from here", and thought I couldn't get it. Disgusting!! Therefore, I recommend not buying and posting anything from their shop.
Paid two pound something and posted a birthday card for my sister in Sri Lanka on the 26th of August. She still has not received it. Telephoned the post office to find out what had happened. Nobody seems to answer. Very dissapointed!
Staff are always helpful and very polite. The only thing I would say is it is a small space and can fill up very quickly, making it a little cramped but the staff are quick and efficient and I've never been kept waiting for very long.
I dread having to visit this shop staff are very unwelcoming and rude. Also check how much your items cost the man who served me tried to over charge my daughter buying small toys with her pocket money I’m glad I checked the prices as he tried to charge her nearly double.
I gave one of the employees 9 postcards to send to Denmark and Germany. They were ready with stamps, but here 6 weeks later non of them has arrived.
