A natural inlet that is perfect for using as a sheltered harbour for small craft. Used by working boats to bring limestone in to be burned in kilns built in to the valley sides. Now a shelter for small boats and the pursuit of water sports.
Well sited car park for gorgeous walk on the west pembrokeshire coast, and friendly stall for drinks and cakes on return
Small car park, always very busy these days. Is it because they now have a new Coffee Kiosk, selling really good cakes?
Porthclais is a true gem. A stunning harbour cove with access to the coastal path in both directions. The NT car park is free to use for Trust members, but is quite small so fills up quickly on sunny, holiday season days. There is a 2nd car park with all-day parking at a reasonable cost £3.50. There is a small kiosk at the entrance to the NT car park serving light refreshments. The homemade Victoria sponge cake is to die for, and the raspberry chocolate slice is shockingly good.
Really pretty little harbour and if you turn right along the coastal path for 30 mins there is a lovely little bay
Wonderfull part of Pembs well worth a visit , park all day for £2.50 , Small Cafe on site serving Coffee Teas Sandwiches and Cakes .
Lovely little kiosk serving drinks, snacks and ice creams
We parked here with grandchildren to wait for some people doing the walk from solva. Great for building dams etc in the water and crab fishing. Lovely little kiosk with fresh sandwiches etc. Also picnic tables
Lots of room to park and the sheltered harbour is just a short walk away. Very useful kiosk selling teas/coffee/ toasted sarnis/ icecream- fairly well priced too
Great spot where I just turned around. Pay and display car park so couldn't justify squeezing in just to look at the water ...... which was very appealing. Apparently it's national trust, so free for members.
