Absolutely impossible to make an appointment let alone see a Dr. Eventually got through to be told to fill out a form online- spent 20 minutes doing this. No reply for 48hrs. Phoned again to be told they hadn't received it even though I had screen shot the confirmation. For a 'super surgery' it falls short by miles. I feel this surgery is letting down the people of Porthcawl. How the elderly get seen ill never know!
This doctors is brilliant for seeing babies! Every time I’ve needed my baby to be seen they have always given him an appointment. I took him in over a month ago to see a male doctor I can’t think of his name . He checked him over and said he was fine and said “well at least it’s not meningitis, you can go now” I couldn’t believe how rude he was, I was literally in shock. My son was still unwell a week later and I really dreaded going back, they make you feel like an over paranoid mother. Lucky I did, the doctor I saw that time was amazing! Checked my son over properly and sent him straight to hospital with rsv where he had to stay in the hospitals for a week on oxygen. If you feel there is something wrong with your baby keep going back no matter how the doctors make you feel!! Most of the doctors here are amazing, but this doctor was so rude the whole appointment and you could tell he just didn’t want us there.
I must thank the Practice staff for dealing so quickly with a request for a doctor's visit for my elderly cousin this morning. The efficiency, speed and care exercised was excellent. Very much appreciated.
Hard work getting through on the phones quicker to go to the place to talk to sum one, took almost a mouth to get my insurance documents signed by a GP as who ever was answering the emails could find the attached PDF
Shocking treatment. Fobbed off by receptionists, unwilling to listen or take any action around a possible dementia patient who is extremely vulnerable. The very epitome of the modern NHS computer-says-no attitude. Apparently a 74-year-old not being able to leave the house or feed themselves isn't an emergency.
What is the point of e consult !! Filled it in , they emailed me asking me to make an appointment!! So had to phone anyway , they would not give me an appointment ! I just get a call back even tho a doctor told me to make an appointment to be seen , the call took 30 mins to be answered
How Sick do you have to be to get a apt at this place ! Different building but same problems as the old place , ages wait on phone ,rude staff no appointment available or online either , wish there were another surgery to use in porthcawl

Phoned to get some blood test results. After a few minutes waiting got an answer and was transferred; "You are caller number 1" repeated ad nauseam for 90 minutes!! How can you be on hold for 90 minutes and be the only one waiting? Obviously didn't want to answer the phone so turned them off. Called back, spoke eventually to a receptionist to be told "it's very busy here". The medical professionals are very good but the way the place is run is totally unacceptable.
Online booking isn't very efficient. I have spent days/weeks trying to book appointments online - to be told almost every-time “there are no appointments available”. This new surgery was supposed to help fix the old problem of it being difficult to get an appointment... can’t help but wonder what good this new building has done..? Because it certainly hasn’t fixed the problem... Seems like the concern over spending was how modern it looked, rather than getting more doctors to treat people. Its been just as difficult as before getting appointments; been no improvement whatsoever as far as I can tell. Have been advised to attend a ‘drop in’ appointment instead. What seems logical to me is rather than use that time for free-for-all appointments, you could perhaps actually use that time for BOOKABLE appointments.. I think you’ll find most people do not want to spend potential hours of their afternoon suffering in a waiting room, nor do many even have the time to do that.
