Can't recommend Anthony and Portabello enough. As a curly haired girl I can't underestimate the importance of a hairdresser who listens and knows what they're doing - and I've found this in Anthony. I've walked away with my hair looking like... My hair!  I also appreciated the chilled and relaxed vibe in the salon. It's a lovely space that is welcoming and not too overwhelming sound wise. Portabello is my new favourite hairdresser! They are so welcoming, friendly, conversational and supportive. I needed a trim and some style advice, and Lochy the barber not only went above and beyond to cut and wash my hair beautifully, but he got multiple opinions to advise on necessary product. I will definitely be back and book more frequently than I typically do just to support such a wonderful business.

These guys give great cuts and, as someone who hates haircuts, the hair and beauty shop vibes are low-key.

I stumbled on this salon after a disaster with a simple toner at another salon left me with yellow hair just before my daughter’s wedding. Anthony spent hours working out the best solution for my hair. The whole experience was pleasant, calm and reassuring. The result was so pleasing and given the inordinate effort and time that went into fixing something that wasn’t his problem, it was an extremely reasonable charge. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Best hairdressers in the business! Have been a customer for years now, always take good care of me. Super friendly, provide sharp cuts and always down for a great yarn. They also manage to fit me in on late notice regularly, couldn't recommend higher for a trim.

Amazing men's cut and colour. I highly recommend this salon. I always find it hard to find someone who is skilled and confident cutting with men's hair but in a salon that provides a hair dresser experience and Anthony did exactly that. I'll definitely be back again... and again.

I have been a client of Portabello's for over 10 years now and certainly the best I've ever been to. Anthony my hair stylist always takes time to give me a thorough consultation, takes a real interest in my hair and cares how I feel. My hair has never been in such good condition and I've been coloring my hair for many years. The staff are professional, experienced and most of all down to earth - I always look forward to having my hair done because it's like visiting friends and having a good laugh. Definitely recommend you try Portabello - you won't be disappointed.

Have been getting my hair cut at Portabello Hair for a few years now and have always been extremely happy with not only the haircut but the fantastic service provided. Highly recommend to anyone in Adelaide.

Absolutely lovely, friendly and fantastic service. Always happy to assist you with explaining things thoroughly, providing you with a drink, happy to work around your needs etc. They truly make the experience enjoyable! Also, they have incredible art work on the walls, the aesthetic is wonderful.

Excellent service, beautiful salon. The staff are all extremely skillful, they've made a stunning and open salon space with massage chairs while your hair is washed and complimentary drinks. Worth every cent for the exemplary service.
