Before coming to Poppy’s I was used to walking into a hairdressers and getting a haircut I really wasn’t too happy with almost every time. It took coming here on a recommendation to change that. They took the time out to help me figure out my hair and how to treat it everyday- not every hairdressing place does that. The staff are very friendly and are always willing to chat to you, which personally I feel helps make getting your hair cut an actually enjoyable, positive experience instead of feeling like a chore for me. Now I walk out every time after a nice conversation with Chloe or Claire and with a haircut I really like. I will say it may be a little more costly than some places but you do pay for both a quality cut and a quality service plus there’s a loyalty card for a free cut and a student discount. The shop itself is located in Silver Court just off Stockton high street, through the doors and right at the end- can’t miss it. I definitely recommend you try them, you can even book an appointment through the app they have if that’s more your speed.
I have been coming to Poppys for several months now and can honestly say I have never had so many lovely comments about my hair. Complete strangers have come up to me, complimented me and asked me where I get my hair done! Chloe always works hard to ensure it is exactly how I want it and gives top tips on keeping it at its best. There is always a warm welcome at Poppys and I come away feeling like a million dollars!
Poppy was recommended by a friend. Chloe, who did my hair, was friendly and knew exactly what I wanted. She cut a wonderful choppy elfin style that is youthful yet showcases my grey hair. I love the cut and actually got comments on leaving the shop, someone in the bank asked where I got my hair done. I love it and will be back.
Highly recommend!! : I phoned on the day to book an appointment and they managed to fit me in hassle free, with no waiting. The service was really personable and I was offered tea, coffee and biscuits. My hairdresser answered any questions I had and gave some great advice. Best of all, he was really competent and gave me a great cut whilst making sure I would catch my train. Would definitely recommend and will most certainly be going again. Would also suggest taking advantage of brilliant deals on the website e.g. 50% off
I had a full head of highlights and a cut. Chloe did my hair. She was very friendly and informed me of all the products she used. The colour and cut are both great. I will be back and would highly recommend this salon.
I've been going to Jayne at Poppys in Stockton for more than 18 years now. She always does an amazing job. My hair has been very short and grown out long and she always manages to make it look fabulous, even though I rarely have any idea what I want! My mum, nan & husband also go to her, and both my children have been getting their hair cut by Jayne from being babies & having their very 1st cuts. My 9 year old daughter loves going to have her 'princess hair' as Jayne has always called it cut. She left a very happy girl last week with amazing scalp plaits in. We all love the salon & the friendliness of all the people there, none of us would go anywhere else. Excellent!
Staff extremely warm & friendly, also extremely competant. Took great pains to make sure I got the cut & finish I wanted & that I was happy. Very reasonable pricing and I googled the colour conditioner I purchased no pressure to buy it, I had to ask if they sold it & it's cheaper at Poppy's than anywhere on the web. Great coffee and biscuit!, I certainly won't be going anywhere else!
A wonderful experience today. Enjoyed chatting with a chloe whilst she did my hair. Had a pot of tea and a very happy son when he was offered a hot chocolate! Lovely and relaxing environment and talented and knowledgeable staff!
would not recommend to go very unprofessional firstly receptionist made mistake so when daughter turned up for appointment turned her away wanting more money as the stylist they booked her with wasn't there ?? offered her a senior stylist instead an extra £40 !!!!! wanting her to pay for their mistake as student had to go back next day , she was told they had new suppliers of hair dyes so was guessing with re doing her hair!!!!!! hair turned out very yellowy and brassy and the cut was blunt and unstylish definately will NOT be going again
