They don’t turn up when you call them
Were made aware from the first 999 call my husband was having a MH breakdown and had said twice that day he felt like throwing himself in front of a car . They broke his neck , rib and needed 2 front teeth removed due to arrest as my husband wouldn't take his hands out of his pockets. My husband had gone missing for 8 hrs that night and was unsteady on his feet when he returned home as taken 28 zopiclone tablets and half a bottle of vodka . He hasn't drunk for 2 years before that night. He was classed as a vulnerable adult but a helicopter used to find him got called out on another job and a sniffer dog apparently tracked him to the museum that my husband had never walked too . My husband was in the graveyard at the bottom of our road . The arresting officer told my husband he would get his neck checked after my husband told him "I can't move , my neck hurts , what are you doing to my neck? " but neglected to tell the staff in A+E , he left it down to my husband who by then was very drowsy and slurring his speech. No body map of injuries when returned to custody, deliberately withheld information from us that we requested. False and libellous comments made about my husband to the hospital. My husband has never assaulted me or anyone else before this incident, during the incident and after . The custody seargent told me they didn't have contact details for myself, yet the police called me 3 times that day . I had to call at 18.30 that evening after they had my husband in custody all day to find out he was being charged with resisting arrest. The police were aware that my husband is my f/time carer and I need him for getting me dressed, showered etc , but they didn't bother to check I had any care. We have never had any dealings with the police before this incident and I'm absolutely disgusted by the way they turned a bad situation into a complete nightmare. Lies and cover ups throughout the investigation by the Professional Standards Department and even now delaying telling the Information Commissioner office why they deliberately withheld information that we requested . The arresting officer can't even "recall" what information he gave the medical team treating my husband . I now now why the police force are called Pigs!!
