Had a really lovely Sunday lunch here. Meat was cooked well and plenty of sides. It was a little on the expensive side but we did turn up on Mother’s Day so there likely was an extra cost added and it was a limited menu. However very grateful the friendly service could fit us in last minute on a very busy day! Nice interior and relaxed atmosphere, and dog friendly, I’d definitely come back and try the usual menu if in the area again!
Asked for a sandwich, which said chicken Quesadilla but ended up with a full meal, it was very tasty just for me it was too much for lunch. I like full fat drinks and was told the tango was just that, but it tasted sugar-free, which was the downside for me. Otherwise, they would have been 5 stars for food. Inside the pub, the place is very old world looking. They allow dogs in as well. Overall, it was a good experience there, not so for the drink
Very disappointed with the food tonight starters were fine the mains were very poor I had the chicken kebab pitta was cold red onions had not been cooked for long and were basically raw my partner had the chicken in a basket basically a child's meal without beans drinks were very expensive we ate in the restaurant 2 months ago which was very enjoyable experience we won't be eating downstairs again. Might try the T'lardy next time
Set off the main road and not far from the main A55, The Plough is a great, welcoming restaurant pub. Spotlessly clean throughout, friendly staff and a big car park. Outside cabins if you don't want to eat inside the building, all with electric heaters. I ordered two Sunday roasts, and they were served in under ten minutes. Piping hot, tasty and good portion sizes. Even an extra gravy dish. We've waited some time to try this out, and we're not disappointed. Well worth a visit.
Dogs Welcome Excellent Service by the staff, even bringing out water for Jazzie and making her very welcome, different staff members saying hello to Jazzie. Excellent service and very nice food, loved the little cabins that had a heater in if required Also usb sockets to charge the phones. They go that extra mile to please both animals and people. There was plenty of meat on my plate to share with Jazzie and also a small sausage I’m sure Jazzie would give a high Highly Recommended
Super smashing super great. Recommended to come her from a local gym... food was excellent as were the staff. Lucky to have had a seat by thr fire too... very warm, and full !!!
Lunch for 2. Raging Bull burger with fries, slaw & chilli sauce. Chicken and ham pie with chunky chips. Lots of chunky chicken bits. Parking: Large parking area to rear of The Plough.
My wife and I, and dog, were staying in local hotel between Christmas and New Year, but decided to find somewhere for an evening meal with a bit more atmosphere and that was dog friendly We were greeted by welcoming staff, warm and friendly, to us and the dog, shown to our table and given a menu. The waitress returned shortly and took our orders. Drinks soon arrived, followed by the food. Quality, quantity and presentation were very good, so much so we booked a table for each of the two remaining nights of our stay. We did not regret this as the standards remained high. Thank you. Well worth a visit Parking: Large car park at rear
Menu a bit limited and its location is functional rather than a destination in its own right. That said, inside is nicely decorated and heated booths outside offer a quieter choice. However its just off the A55 and a great place to take a break. Dog friendly too.
Absolutely gorgeous food. Staff polite & very pleasant. Good banter on both sides. Like other reviews so sorry we live far away if ever in that area again we'll be there.Food: 5/5
