This was definitely worth visiting. As a fan of the Harry Potter books, I had to check it out, and I was not disappointed! I did find it quite difficult to get to the actual location. I was trying to follow various directions I found online, but kept not being able to find it. I eventually made it there, and I think it's important for people to know that it's on ground-level. For some reason, I kept thinking it was below-ground because of how big the station is. You'll enter doors on ground-level, and if you're in the right spot, you'll see it right away. When I was there, there was a long lineup of people waiting to take their pictures by the cart. If you want to take a photo of the sign and cart, you just need to wait for a group of people to be finished taking their photo. Worth checking it, even if briefly!
The 9 3/4 platform location is right by the gift shop. It is not on an actual platform where you would need tickets get in. The photographer and staff are very good, they know how to position you and whoever is in your group of if you're by yourself. They are fun photos ! Definitely one of the Harry Potter stops you must see. Best to get there early, the line up when full can take up to an hour+ as the staff make sure the photos are great for each customer! This is not part of any tour, so if that is your meeting point arrive earlier even an hour earlier if you want to have your photo taken.
Went for the first time this year, absolutely amazing vibe and decoration! I love all the lore, books and movies so this was a milestone for me... The only bad thing was the crowd, I understand that it is very popular as a place , but they should do something for the space and arrangement of the shop. With so many people inside the shop we couldn't move freely to enjoy fully without pressure the merch. Overall a great experience though!
Beautiful architecture at King's Cross station. The trolley attraction is popular with fans of the Harry Potter saga, the queue for a photo easily takes 1h30. The ideal is to go in the morning when it opens!Visited onWeekdayWait time10–30 minReservation recommendedNo
Must visit destination for every Harry Potter fan.My childhood dream is to come to see this spot. It took almost 15years to make this happen and traveled 7481 kilometres from India. Must visit place especially for Hogwarts lovers. Platform 9 3/4 is the most memorable thing to see and feel. For me it took almost 3 hours long wait in the queue to reach that level and take pictures with that wall. Most unforgettable moment In my life. We can take pictures with different scarfs and with the trolley by holding wand. There’s platform 9 3/4 store for Harry Potter lovers to buy lots of books toys wand’s broomsticks chocolates toys candys owls etc
I would love to give this a 5 star review because I LOVE Harry Potter and it was really cool to see this. But you have to pay to get a picture with the trolley... and you have to go into their store in order to arrange that... It's blocked off. I was able to sneak a picture from the sidelines which was enough for me, but sad I couldn't get the picture. Capitalize on everything!
Not really a Potterhead but why not swing by? This is simply a tourist location for photos and gift shopping hence do not expect anything neither special nor impressive. You may find yourself disappointed when walking to King’s Cross to find the platform 9 3/4 with the trolley half in the wall only and realize it’s not on a platform at all. Extremely busy, consider not waste your time if you easily bother getting in long line just to take a photo there. Possibly a bit fun and pleasant surprise for kids I guess, and Harry Potter fans
It’s packed… came on 6pm Wednesday. But cool see a site from the movie Harry Potter. I didn’t stay in line but took some pictures. They have a Harry Potter shop next door for all the fans.
Harry Potter series gift store in busy area of London, wait time in line for picture with trolley is around 1 hour, but took us less than that, not required to buy photos and you can snap pictures with your own camera on the side. the store itself is nice and has lot of HP memorabiliaVisited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
I went to King's Cross Station looking specifically for this. When I got there, there was a queue. I am not sure if you had to pay to get in the queue because it looked like there were people at the front providing wands and House scarfs for your picture op.Visited onWeekendWait time10–30 minReservation recommendedNot sure
