Our first night in Cardiff and needed to find a fish and chip shop that had gluten free options. All the other recommended shops were closed as it was a Sunday but found Plassey fish bar with delivery via Deliveroo and we were not disappointed.  The food was clearly marked as gluten free to not mix up with others who had ordered. Batter was crispy, curry was awesome and chips were great. Huge portions.

Great place looks nice and clean, they very nice people and a large chips really is a large chips, fish is good, well 2 be honeat got nothing bad at all 2 say about this chip shop. Well recommended 2 anyone who local or close.

This evening, I ordered a chip butty, large chips, rice and beans from Plasseys fish bar. Unfortunately although we were served first as there was no one else in the fish shop when we entered, we were the last people to receive our order. 4 people came in after us and they all received their food before us. I have no idea why this was. The person behind us had a similar size order including fish. We were given no explanation as to why we were made to wait for 15 minutes and received our order after people behind us in the queue had been served. The individual serving offered no explanation and it’s unlikely I will return as a result of this service.

If you like your chips with a slight crunch like me you'll love these chips. The haddock was ok and the batter was nice and thin.

Amazing chip shop never fails to have good food great prices to highly recommend if your in Penarth and need a snack

my partner is celiac and this is the only chip shop that we know of that does gluten free every day,  good food, good portions  their chicken curry and chips lovely well worth travelling for and they dont charge extra for gluten free like most chip shops do        i would gladly recommend   them to anyone

Spotlessly clean small chip shop, take out only. The chips were some of the best I have tried and were not greasy at all, the fish was very tasty and the curry sauce lovely as well. Little hidden gem in Penarth selling quality food at very good prices.
