We get coffee and cake from here regularly. The family team that run it are all so friendly and do loads for the local community. And the cakes are amazing!!!! They cater for all sorts of food needs, but I just pick the cake that sounds and looks the most delicious and if it happens to be vegan or gluten free then that's fine. If it wasn't labelled I don't think you'd be able to tell as they're always delicious.
THE BEST COFFEE AND CAKES!!!nnI absolutely love it here, we’ve been coming since lockdown and will continue to do so for as long as I live because this establishment is incredible! Some of my favourite coffee is served by these ladies and definitely my favourite cakes!! The food is also incredible and the family that own this Tintwistle treasure have always been amazing to us, we have built a friendship with everyone here and I couldn’t recommend any of it enough! You’d have to be delusional walking away from this place unsatisfied, the options are endless, I try things I’d never choose because I know it’s going to be phenomenal. Also, I’m an eggball addict and they feed me a healthy supply of eggballs and for that reason alone, I will always support this beautiful place until my dying breath.nnWe love you Pixies!
The best cake shop! World famous goodies, really inventive creations, delicious cakes and veggie savoury dishes.nI live in Idaho and traveled to Tintwistle specially. Well I’m also visiting my dad in Glossop, but it’s a good excuse to eat cake and I’m a big fan of Pixie Bakes.
Not just my favourite cafe but also my favourite place in the world.nSo many food, drink and cake options, which cater to all dietary requirements.nThe food and cakes are the BEST things, so tasty!!nBe careful though, once you have soup from Pixie Bakes you will never want any other soup again!!nEveryone is so lovely, you won’t regret a trip
So many great reviews, but I am not very impressed at all.nThe gluten free and vegan cake I had was very sweet, heavy and so much fat! And only the one option.nAnd if you like Victoria sponge cake, they need ONE month's notice!nIts very difficult for someone who has gluten intolerance and is also vegan, and the way the shop is advertised I did think it would not be such a problem, and a great local business.nIt seems to be very popular for the majority of customers, but I'm afraid it is not very good for me.nNB.nFurther to the owner's reply to this review:-nI have taken on board what you are saying, but I am entitled to my opinion, as you are yours.nI am not the only reviewer not impressed with your vegan/gluten free cake. I have given my own and honest opinion in my review.nWith regard to one month's notice for a celebration cake, I appreciate you may need it for an iced cake, and I apologise but I didn't think 3 weeks notice would be such an issue for you and did not think I was being unreasonable, but can understand if thats how you work.nBut if you bake regularly for your shop/cafe, I really couldn't understand the month's notice for a sponge cake!
