Brilliant place to visit with lots to see and do and best of all it is free, my daughter loves visiting the museum a perfect place to learn about the local history, the staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable about all the displays i would recommend it wholeheartedly Pittencrieff park is a great day out good areas for the kids to play a hot house for a look at the more unusual plants and it's great to have somewhere warm to get out of the weather if it turns bad.

While the museum is fairly small the building and the sprawling gardens are lovely. You could easily spend an afternoon walking around the whole park, the nicest part is along the side of the burn, though I am told it's not the best place to be at night. Considering it's in the centre of Dunfermline it really is an impressive and well kept park.

Lovely historic building within Dunfermline Glen. Bit of a misnomer to call it a museum as only a few things on the walls and a display case in the ground floor room. Nothing of any real interest. Sells children's toy swords, shields and other pocket money toys. Remaining historic articles will soon be moved to the new Carnagie library and Museum when it opens in the spring.
