My boys and I went to Pindale Farm with a hammock and a small tent to do some walks around the area. The facilities were great, hot showers, washing up area, toilets and all were clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, also electric hook up if required. The campsite is really quiet, with lovely views over the Hope Valley and although there is a nearby cement factory behind the hill you never heard anything. You can walk straight out of the campsite and up into the hills. I would highly recommend the site. Walkability: You can walk straight out of the campsite over to Man Tor. It is also a small walk down to Hope.
I had a pitch booked here for a motorcycle road trip in June 24, when I arrived it was pouring with rain and I was already soaked! Alan, a fellow biker himself, very kindly offered me a room in the barn instead of putting my tent up in the rain which I gladly accepted! The location is beautiful with spectacular walks all around! Castleton is a 20 min walk where there’s plenty of choices for eating/drinking! A very well run & quite camp site! I will definitely be stopping again in the future!
A gem - owner Alan is friendly chap, took time to explain the site to me. Field is well-maintained, wasn't too crowded / packed-in despite being marked as "full" occupancy. Toilets and showers are immaculate. Was a peaceful couple of nights - certainly my preference vs. some of the larger enterprise campsites you see dotted around. Signal is a bit crap, like most remote spots like this, but I saw you can pay for wifi if you really need it. Can pay on arrival card / cash, or I believe you can prepay using a BACS. Nestled between Hope and Castleton, both easy to walk to.
My new favourite campsite!! I loved everything about it! The friendly owner helps you with everything you need and more! The area is just perfect! You can walk in to either hope or castleton, which was perfect for us ! The views made me smile! The cement works is just behind the campsite but I kind of liked that! When we walked on the Great Ridge we were saying "ooh look there's where we are camping!!" The toilets and showers are lovely and clean! We will be back!
I had a great idea to go campin with my mates. I wake up and need a shower I go for a shower and what do i see looking at me a human feces. I was in floods of tears and utter disbelief of the sight of the feces. I CRIED MYSELF TO SLEEP! Dont recommend unless you have a poo kink if so this is the place to be.Rooms: 3/5
Alan was lovely. Great clean facilities. Lovely views and not too busy. Had a funny little neighbour the sheep baaaahhhhhhh but it put a smile on our faces. The other reviews are right Walkability: We went on our jolly way on a hike and it was splendid ! Great peaks surrounding the area to climb up
Lovely location to stay while exploring the area but would not reccomend this place to stay as a big group. Have stayed here previously with no problems at all but a more recent group stay was very different! We had several complaints throughout our stay from the owner who took it upon themselves to take pictures of the camping space we were using complaining it look messy not sure how you can have a messy arrangement of tents. Very strange behaviour and quite rude. It put a real damper on our trip!
Stayed in our camper van. Great location with wonderful views and equal distance from Hope and Castleton about 25 minutes walk. Electric hookups available, you need a long cable. Loos and showers just fine, nice to see plug sockets in the shower block. Washing up area and washing machine. The walk into Castleton is very pleasant but super dark at night. Take a torch! We will definitely be back.
We camped so cannot comment on the rooms. Great camping ground, good clean and warm toilet/shower blocks. Well mowed flat fields to pitch in. Beautiful countryside. The hum of the concrete factory was like white noise to fall asleep to.Service: 5/5
I was a Pinedale as part of a duke of Edinburgh team. The campsite was at a brilliant locations with great views and relativity close to Castleton. It had great facilities and was an amazing price, the site owner was really friendly, I will definitely be returning with my friends and family in the future.Rooms: 5/5
