Used a voucher for cocktails and nachos. Went just after opening at 4.30 pm. We were alone but the bar was being set up for a themed beach party. The music was 70s so we enjoyed the nostalgia as well as the lovely cocktails .The staff were friendly and attentive.
Second visit for cocktails & nachos groupon deal. Cocktails were nice and so were the nachos, could have been layered with cheese underneath though. Quite a small bar so gets packed easily. Friendly staff. In a good location. Attracts lots of students as it's near the University.
Nice atmosphere and quirky decor makes it a really fun place to have hang out. We bought the Groupon promotion that serves cocktails and nachos. Friendly service staff and the drinks is well presented and very nice. They also run promotions for students and members! Would recommend visiting if around Cowgate area!
Our group had vouchers for cocktails 1 drink each and nachos. The bar was pretty empty when we arrived but got steadily busier and noisier as the afternoon went on. The cocktails we ordered were really nice, all being consumed and another order placed. The baskets of nachos were a nice touch to nibble on during our stay. We noticed that quite a lot of the tables were pre-booked, which would be a good idea if your in a large group. If you like a quiet drink in a relaxed atmosphere, this place is not for you, unless you get here very early before the crowds arrive. The servers were polite, prompt and well presented.
Always crowded, loud and full of young students making loads of noise! Never found a place to sit here. The drinks are great but expensive even on student discount! It’s also a very small pub.
Had really fun night doing Vampire Diaries Quiz, was glad to have got this booked as missed the Friends one! Hoping for that to return. Very reasonable price for drinks/cocktails such a good choice aswell. Food was so tasty arrived very quickly and really hot. I was very impressed amd will definitely return.
Great prices and a nice variety of drinks. Lots of stuff on draught, as well as some original cocktails and shots. Great decor and ambiance. They also have a lot of big TVs so it’s a good place to watch some football.
Couldn't say the entrance is the easiest to find but locating near old and new town is a huge plus. For the time I went there, it was crowded and there were quite a bit of shouting, which is nice to have for a pub. Good vibe overall!
Staff were friendly, was a wired mix of customers some were really drunk when I was there and that was 6pm! I liked the décor and the music. The toilets were stinking! One stall and that was always occupied and piss all over the floor.
I was served by Anna today and even though the bar was extremely busy she still served me with a big smile and made me feel like a valued customer. She’s a great member of the team. I will be back
