It's been a few years since my last visit to the Pied Bull and the change of landlord seems to have it right although early days. The food/lunch we had was good value and down to earth home cooked, nothing fussy that we are getting in 'gastro' pubs that serves well presented food labelled nicely with a price to match that people appear happy to pay. Pied Bull I hope does not go this way and just keeps serving honest food in a busy place with character.
