Really great mechanics. I've been commuting by bike for around 15 years. I've used a few different bike shops, and this is the best one I've found. Very high quality work, straightforward to deal with and the staff are sound. I live closer to other bike shops, but keep going back to Picton Cycles. They've been looking after my bike for ten years, and it's as good as new. Long may it continue.
Great bike shop, just recently went in had an issue with a tire, not only did they fix it in seconds they didn’t even charge me, very knowledgeable guys, do a great bike maintenance as well I think still under fifty, seeing as the summer is finally here might get another one done and get out on the bike more need the excercise putting on a few pounds ‍oh I got this nifty bottle holder under 7 quid my plastic specialized one snapped ‍ only trouble I’m going to have to move the bike lock if I want the lock & bottle on the bike at the same time, I liked the lock in that position didn’t rattle as much at least this one can’t snap
Called in to replace a cassette on my cannondale and was done there and then to save me getting a bus back home and return back - waited around the high St and he called within the hour for me to collect it - I couldn't thank him enough he saved me a lot of hassle
Cyclocross bike had a knackered headset feeling rough and not turning freely. Took it apart and discovered it was a right mess see photo. Had no idea what was needed to get it sorted so took it in to Picton. Headset replaced and now smooth as butter. Well pleased.
One of the best bike mechanics in the city. Easily one of the most competitive price wise, too. Good example of this is a recent service. Needed a new headset and bottom bracket, as the headset had a bit of play and the BB was creaking. Ste collected my bike in his van from my home in north Liverpool. All sorted within a few days and for just under £100. Trust me, finding a good spanner is like finding a good car mechanic. You keep hold of them and always go back. This is the second time that I have used Picton Cycles after a recommendation from my good mate, Charlie. Needless to say that they'll now be my permanent go-to cycle shop for any mechanicals. Have tried others elsewhere in Merseyside, but they'll all have all fallen short. Picton are by far the best - and then some. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Great bunch.
Long term repeat customer of Picton cycles. Ste and Ian have built, serviced and repaired countless bikes for me. Most recently they built my S-Works Tarmac SL8 from scratch with surgical precision. Faultless service as always. Highly recommended!
Needed a replacement shifter quickly as mine had just broke and I was on a multi day bike tour. Amazingly they had the part in and fitted it that day. Helped me out when I really needed it. Great service and really great price.

Always had problems after taking my bike here, staff never listen to you when you explain what's wrong and what needs fixing. Just had a full service and a spoke has broken after works had been done to the wheel. Gears keep skipping also which was the main reason the bike needed a service.
Great service & help from Picton Cycles. Turned up unannounced and they helped with my sons bike no questions asked. Loads of brilliant bikes on offer as well. Great service. Thanks guys
