Story

Piccolo has been a family business since 1993. A few changes have taken place in the last few days, Helen and Ian are now easing into retirement and their daughter Karen has taken over the family business.Its business as usual with the same stylish brands.

Busy place on a Saturday lunchtime. Lunch menu is available with a decent selection. Staff are friendly and there was no rush to get the table back. We ended up with three courses along with a couple of bottles of red wine. Will certainly be backFood: 5/5

£14.5 for 2 course. I chose main and dessert. I ordered cheese cake . It is too creamy and not much cheese taste. A bit disappointed. 2nd visited for dinner on 28Dec 2023. We chose the Pre-theatre Mena. We ordered starter and main course. Everything is good. I like the prawn cocktail and calamari fritti.
A lovely evening meal with friends. We each had a starter and main, with a couple of bottle of wines. Food was very good and tasty, fresh and plentiful. Not five stars as have had equally good Italian food in other restaurants which this matched, but did not exceed. For the four of us £200. Atmosphere busy and nice buzz, decor more traditional than modern but a nice place to dine all in Would recommend and return.
Authentic Italian in downtown Glasgow. They took our party quickly on a busy night without a reservation. The service was attentive through a group effort. The food was delicious and truly authentic. The minestrone soup was perfect. Fresh vegetables, served hot, with just the right amount of salt. The slices of haggis and black pudding was surprisingly tasty for my first time. Don’t ask what it is made of, just try it and you will find an unusual, but pleasant flavor and texture. The medallion of veal fillet alla Milanese was a tender, hearty portion of veal pounded thin, coated in light breading, and served hot. Delicious from the first bite to the last. The table next to me ordered the lyonnaise potatoes and they looked so good I had to order them as well. They were superb and tasted as good as they looked. Welcoming, charming place with more than reasonable pricing especially on the alcohol. Must visit if you like Italian.
Deserves every award it's won! Staff and cuisine were excellent. Atmosphere full of old world charm. Great value for the creative, delicious starters and main courses. Excellent variety of wines at reasonable prices. Would go often if I lived in Glasgow!!
Just had lunch there. The most amazing food I've ever had. The staff was also very nice. I would go 7 days a week. The food was so good I almost cried. My friends and I had the pasta bolognese, the lasagna and the grilled seafood platter. Very lovely!Food: 5/5
Absolutely fantastic place! The service was exemplary, all staff were friendly and professional. The food was absolutely outstanding! My boyfriend and I went here on a date night and ordered the two types of bruschetta, seafood pasta, and ragù. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection! We sadly had already made other plans for dessert but will definitely be back to try that too.
Lovely Group meal off the Set menu .. service very good on a warm night in Glasgow..Well looked after by the informative staff and food was very good ...Large portions and well presented! £750 total which included drinks which was great value for money! Would most definitely be back as a couple. Parking: Saturday night parking is FREE after 6pm
