Karl helped me with rehab after a grade 3 tear in ACL & MCL. We put together an ambitious schedule to meet a deadline of competing in the British championships with the aid of a knee brace. With great guidance and a lot of work 60-90mins a day over 3 months we hit all our targets and I won the championships. Big credit to Karl for believing it was possible and pushing me just the right amount. I would thoroughly recommend him.
The Montefiore Hospital in Hove referred me to Nigel Howell following a Revision Total Shoulder Replacement. Nigel fully understood the operation I had undergone as he had previously witnessed shoulder operations. I started physiotherapy 4 weeks after my operation. Nigel demonstrated, and watched me doing, a series of exercises which I performed until our next session. It was particularly helpful that Nigel sent me videos of each exercise. The exercises were reviewed and revised at each session, and my progress monitored. Nigel carried out a full examination of my arm and shoulder every time. Although I felt that there was significant improvement it was nonetheless very reassuring to be told that muscle strength was returning, Nigel explains everything very clearly and answered all my questions. I am highly satisfied with the treatment I am receiving and I have total confidence in Nigel. I would have no hesitation in recommending Nigel.
Can’t recommend Karl highly enough! Having suffered with a bad hip for nearly a year, I took myself to see him in October following MRIs, CT scans and ultrasounds and the progress has been brilliant. He listened to everything I’d tried before and did his own assessment and then gave me a workout I could do 2-3 times a week in 30 minutes. I’ve stuck to the plan and seen really good strength and stability gains. This week when I went back and asked for more, he has given me more progressions I can already tell are working. I’m hopeful I’ll be out of pain completely and back to training for the half, but for now I’m happy he got me back running in 6-8 weeks like he said he would! If you’ve got an issue go see him!
I am currently see Nigel for a recurrence of sciatic and low back pain. His professional and friendly manner makes it easy to relax and have confidence in the types of treatment. His decision and referral for a scan was quick enabling him to work on a specific problem area. The Physio Centre staff are professional, easily contactable and appointments available quickly to ensure treatment can start early.
Treatment from Bryan was to the highest standards and treatment from Nigel continues in the same vein. I always feel I have benefitted from my visits.
Fantastic service provided. I was working with Nigel Howell both pre and post knee surgery for an injury picked up playing football. Nigel quickly got me my referral for the operation, something previous physios I’d used were reluctant to do. I then returned for some post surgery physio and final stage rehab. I am now nearly at full fitness after a long period out and this is largely down to Nigel’s help and expertise in his field. Would definitely recommend the company and Nigel to anyone struggling with an injury.
I am 51 years old former Royal Marine and required two total knee replacements TKR. I did these within 6 weeks of each other in London, but live in Haywards Heath. The second op was in January 2022. With the expertise, advice and therapy of Nigel Howell, I was 'prepared' for my 2nd knee replacement and back playing golf 62 days later! This speaks for itself. Thank you!
In December 2020 I was having great difficulty even walking around the house and climbing stairs due to pains in my right knee. I began seeing Nigel in February 2021 and thanks to his work on my soft tissue, exercise recommendations and great encouragement, I am now able to walk 2-3 miles daily, with no stick and hope to re-commence golf in the spring.
Nigel has been helping me with a hip and leg issue that has been ongoing for a while. The exercises he’s given me have helped make a big improvement in a short while. I really appreciate his friendly expertise and simple explanations.
Thank you to Paul Johnson for his care over a number of years, most recently treating my lower back after a prolapsed disc. I am always impressed by the time Paul takes to understand my issues in detail before treatment and the various exercises he gives me to take away. The Physio Therapy Centre itself is a wonderful spacious light filled building and a pleasure to visit.
