Great music, excellent sound venue, sadly what let's it down is the cloakroom, took 50mins to collect two jackets, and that's 30mins before the venue closed. Staff are friendly, just need to sort out the cloakroom as it puts a downer on the overall night.

The experience was normal, personal kindly and the atmosphere was great. The woman guard was exaggerated compared with the mans. The problem was the music and staff on the desk. 60% of music calm and uncoordinated, dj’s didn’t interested in the scene and the dancehall, and it was very bored. The gin coctel was expensive and awful, 8£ was too much for 80% ice in the glass. Another 40% was great and excellent music equipment. I won’t come back definitely. Average club.
The women at the front was really rude to us. We tried getting in on Friday, just planning to dance and have some fun me and my friends. When we got close to the door we just asked the women at the door who seemed to be in charge if we could buy the tickets at the door. She just turn to us and start a proper interrogation about what kid of music was being played that night, what was the exact name of the DJ, etc. She was being extremely rude to us and end of kicking us from the queue with the only reason that we did not pass the test. If that's is the policy of the club I don't really want to be part of that kind of pretentious place. Brixton is to have fun and be inclusive not to be a bunch of snobs that only let people in if they are exactly like you. Shame
I went to Phonox for John Digweed, the music and atmosphere were brilliant, really one of the best nights I’ve had in ages. However, the cloakroom experience completely left a negative final impression of the night.nnDespite leaving the dance floor early to avoid queues, we still waited around 45 minutes to collect our jackets. There was no communication from staff about the delay, and it seemed badly understaffed for the size of the crowd.nnIt’s a shame, because everything else about the night was top-tier, but waiting nearly an hour for a coat at the end of an event just isn’t acceptable. I’ve since seen other reviews mentioning the same issue, so hopefully it’s something the venue addresses soon.
