This cinema needs an upgrade for sure as you struggle to watch because of the seating arrangements and the level in between rows.I have to change my kids space twice as he was unable to see ,luckily as the guy in front was a bit tall and also likely heavy ,which was obscuring the view and that should not happen. I was myself unable to view full screen multiple times and has to adjust my positions or side views. If you dare to sit in front row at the expense of neck collar you might be able to see full screen. There is no parking and the surrounding spaces are more handicap friendly which is fair and good but you will struggle if unaware of this. There is a small parking but you have to drive further and turn around the market to assess that. Avatar 2 experience was good but could have been much better I guess
Staff are welcoming and friendly whilst remaining professional and knowledgable. Compliments to the chef for my dirty fries - delicious! The cinema is clean and overall a great place to spend time
This a fantastic cinema squeezed into an old Falmouyh building. Thr whole design compliments the building without destroying its character. The meal deal and Merlin Cinema Card offer great value
Nice intimate cinema. Temperature inside was grand. Popcorn was fresh and perfectly salty. All round loved it
Decent, bit cold in theatre 5 and seat level isn't low enough so view is blocked.
Went to falmouth cinema to see a show booked tickets .doors did not open till one went for coffee it was cold was told aching was only then put on .cap at till asked for ref numbers which was on phone in front of him he didn't have to touch the phone but he didn't even look at it .he as very stern looking needs some training in customer service .not very helpful will be going trluro next time
Going to the Phoenix cinema is typically a wonderful experience - nice staff, comfy seating, always clean. However, last night - having gone to see the rerelease of James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’, in the hope for a lovely time where the serenity of Eywa could be experienced on a large screen - the ears of myself and my friends were nearly blown out. We had to near-constantly have our fingers on standby to plug our ears, as if any remotely emotional music, or an action scene, came up and we hadn’t suitably shielded ourselves we would very swiftly find ourselves in physical pain. The stereos the screening room we were in at the time was 3, upstairs on the left were terribly loud and everything - be it bass-y booms of brass or bombs, or the high frequency chatters of animals, a character’s screech, or even a slight whistle - resulted in our discomfort. Beautiful visuals, as is always the case with ‘Avatar’, but I sincerely cannot say my group had nearly as positive an experience with the splitting headaches we walked out with.
Can't beat going to the cinema and still having a local one in this day and age is such a great bonus. Long may it continue. Plus there is the Movie Magic Card which is a no brainer and saves a fortune over a year and you get a free film pass when you renew within a month of its expiry date. Bonus!
Nice comfortable seats and great to be able to take a cold pint into the film! Discount card is useful and service is good
If you go, eat elsewhere that way you only got to use the downstairs tills to buy snacks & ticket... The foods alright to be fair.... but there's one lad who "works the till", every time we've gone to have a meal deal it's taken him 20+ minutes to go through the till so rather than having the meal first we've had to have it at the end of the film as he's taken uo to much time.... he has hair like his mum cut it, so if you see him on till avoid that till lol
