This statue is a tribute to the Thin Lizzy front-man and bassist Phil Lynott. The statue features Lynott standing, right hand on his guitar which is resting on the ground, with his left hand in his pocket. The statue faithfully shows his funky afro hair-do. Not a must-see, but interesting if in the area or a fan.

Very known in Ireland as the famous front man of THIN LIZZY, the rock superstars. I was told that the statue is sometimes damaged or even vandalised and therefor it surely needs a better and safe location.
If you loved Thin Lizzy The Boys are Back in Town, this is a must-see, free attraction while you are in downtown Dublin. Easy to find in Harry Street, which is just off Grafton Street the city's main shopping street.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
One of my favorite musicians who definitely deserved such honor. Right next to the busy Grafton Street, which makes it easily accessible for those who admired Phil Lynott's great talent.
Phil Lynott originally born in West Bromwich england but grew up in Dublin Ireland and always referred himself to be Irish and was extremely proud of it too. Singer, songwriter, bass player, producer and poet. Front man of Thin Lizzy. This wonderful life size sculpture is a must see for any Phil Lynott/Thin Lizzy fan. Incredible detail on the statue with his bass guitar . Many people leave tokens at the statue from guitar picks to flowers to show their respect for who is one of Ireland's greatest, talented well loved son's . R.I.P Phil.
BEST KNOWN AS THE FRONTMAN for the band Thin Lizzy, Phil Lynott’s too-short life has been memorialized by a life-size bronze statue erected in central Dublin, just outside one of the famed bass player’s favorite Bruxelles pub, downtown Dublin.
In city center next to a pub. It was my second visit in 7 years after the statue was defaced. It was restored well. I'll always visit when in town. A must do for any Thin Lizzy fan!
