Went to order our new Mazda car in Kendal which is on the mobility scheme the other day, James Robinson was very friendly and professional wish all sales advisors were like him thanks James see you in January to pick the new car up.
David Hayton, the company, I can only say has always treated us fairly and punctually. We have made use of the Penrith branch on more than one occasion because the workshop in Kendal cannot accommodate a vehicle the height of our Boxer camper van. As an impending holiday departure came closer, one of the airbags failed, and we had to take the van to Penrith to get the necessary diagnostic examination. The parts were subsequently ordered, but when the time came to book the van in for the work to be carried out, due to the busy-ness of the Penrith branch workshop, the earliest date that we could be offered was over a week away, 5 days too late for our holiday departure. Thinking that I had nothing to lose by asking, I called in to the Kendal showroom to make an enquiry about the possibility of having the work carried out in Kendal. I reasoned that, as the diagnostic work had already been done, the work might be carried out on the forecourt or the car park, and the height disadvantage of the Kendal workshop would not be an issue. To keep the story short, suffice to say that everyone involved and I would have to commend the staff at Penrith for their co-operation was as helpful and accommodating as I could have hoped. Within ten minutes or so of making my initial enquiry I had an assurance that the parts would be transferred from Penrith to Kendal, the van was booked in for the work to be carried out two days hence, and barring unforeseen and random mischance, we would have the van ready to go with a full day to spare. And now here we are, ready to depart, and nothing now to worry about fingers crossed other than the weather. So I have no hesitation in recommending David Hayton's as a company that will deal with you fairly. The only way they could have improved their performance would have been to carry out the work for free! And who knows where that might lead?
Kendal branch of DH is absolutely fantastic and highly recommended. Excellent customer service from the beginning to the end. James and the whole team was very helpful and supportive throughout the whole purchase process. I will definitely return and recommend this dealer to my friends.
I have nothing but positive feedback for David Hatton in Kendal. From the first phone contact with Dean, he was friendly and helpful. He didn't push a purchase and when I decided to buy the car, he made sure all my questions were answered. A few days after I picked up the car, there was a totally unforseen issue with the car, Dean and Heidi went out of their way to make sure the issue was resolved. Heidi has been fantastic at making sure the process has been smooth. I have been so impressed and cannot thank them enough for their help and continued support with the car. It is now all sorted and their customer service has been exemplary. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

Very impressed by the whole team. Dean was friendly and supportive with none of the usual heavy sales technique. He helped us consider all aspects of our needs/preferences and allowed us to come to our own conclusion. We’re very happy with the car a pre-owned BMW 1 series which included having two new tyres which had been flagged in the mot. We’ve since had trouble getting a tow bar fitted with the garage Dean recommended, but Dean and Heidi have gone above and beyond to help us get it sorted before our cycling holiday.
Thrilled with the service we received at David Hayton. We saw the exact model and spec we were searching for online, and paid a visit to Kendal. James was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. The whole experience was a pleasure from start to finish, James even ‘phoned a couple of days after we had collected the car to see how we were getting on. Thoroughly recommend this company - 10/10.
From start to finish the customer service I received at David Hayton's Kendal was excellent. Honest, friendly and very helpful when I asked what were potentially some questions with obvious answers! My preference would have been to support a local company as this is my ethos in general, however on seeing the white 2008 in Kendal I realised how much I preferred the Nimbus Grey I had seen elsewhere that was readily available and eventually bought. This had no reflection on either James or David Hayton Kendal dealership - I’m disappointed indeed not to have supported you. James was a superstar and a credit to you.
First Class service all staff knowledgeable, helpful and polite. well done David Hayton.
