Loved this holiday park the view alone is worth the travel to get there' went here years in a row it looks even more beautiful than it was before. Burnt islands a small walk away and we also walked to kinghorn from the caravan park too' the beach is great small walk away it's night time sitting gazing over the sea to Edinburgh went to the wax museum this time I'll definitely be going to the zoo snooker tables look great I'll remember and bring my cue.
Amazing have been many times however a few little issues Caravan was great and spotless clean and warm to go into but sofa bed was damaged had already been fixed with boards but still broken. carpet was raised where silver stripe was and a few mirrors missing for the ladies for doing hair and make up etc .the main issue however was the street lighting on hired caravans very dark and we had to use a torch to get to restaurant and and entertainment areas and a lot of pot holes and muck due to weather and time of year .would have liked salt or grit to have been put on the balcony of hired Van's as it was very slippery and a safety issue as especially as my wife had sore legs but food in restaurant was amazing staff were very friendly and helpful and eager to help atmosphere was great really enjoyed the hogmanay party and hangover party will definitely be back in spring summer and new year again but please sort the lighting it would be a massive plus .
Stayed here for a week in a five-star executive caravan. The caravan itself didn't disappoint. It was clean and well equipped with a stunning view across the River Forth towards Edinburgh. The on-site restaurant and bar were excellent, and staff were friendly with the menu having something for everyone. The only negative note was that the swimming pool was an additional charge. Would recommend this site to anyone and would consider purchasing a caravan.
Appalling behaviour by holiday park kicking out young family because they are traveller's and for no reason will be reporting this to union as discrimination. UK radio station
Me and my daughter spent one night here in our camper van and enjoyed it. First interaction with staff was very good and we were pointed to the warden who took us to a pitch and even helped set up! Every member of staff I had spoken to was very helpful and polite! Toilets and showers were exactly that nothing fancy a little dated but clean and the showers nice and hot! The arcade could do with a bit updating and definitely needs some 2p machines Overall Was a good night stay, well priced for what was provided. I would come back and would recommend Pettycur bay for sure
Disgusting how they treat people, Won't ever be back! So the owners response was for me to provide a phone number and address?? Why are you going to ban me from your site as well as I said I Def won't be backRooms: 1/5
Caravan was in a good location, Stunning view of the cruise ships, beach and planes landing in the airport. Shop was shut most days and you have to book the restaurant, but there is no signs instructing to do so. Overall, relaxing stay. Swimming pool is good for a midday swim. Will be visiting again. Walkability: Easy 15 minute walk to Burntisland and Kinghorn from the park.
Had an amazing stay Caravan was fab staff were friendly highly recommendedRooms: 5/5
I didn't avail of service other than to book. Stunning beach massive Campervan pitch mine is 8m , required extra lift due to slope still on a hill 32 a night probably on the high side. Grey water drain too high for my drain to fit easilyRooms: 3/5
Some great aspects; some really poor, which unfortunately let the place down as a whole. Felt to me like the poor aspects wouldn't take much to fix/improve, so suggests to me a lack of care and attention from management. Things that were great: view, caravan space/layout/design/cleanliness, restaurant layout/decor/food quality for the most part. There was no guide or information about the caravan or park itself provided at check-in or in the caravan. We got the key and a map to our caravan and that was it. We felt it would have enhanced the experience if an info sheet/booklet was provided - how to get to the beach, how to use the heating, where the fuse box is electric tripped a couple of times and had ask reception, info on swimming/soft play etc - particularly as our Internet signal wasn't great. We were disappointed the facilities weren't included in the cost. Having paid hundreds of pounds for the group to stay, it felt a bit stingy/unnecessary having to shell out a few quid each time we used the swimming/soft play. On the facilities, we felt they were mostly lacking. The arcade/soft play/snooker room look like they were installed in 1995 and haven't been updated since. They were clean/tidy, but that appeared to be the extent of the maintenance over the years. The snooker and pool tables were borderline unusable and the staff said when we asked for cues that there was no chalk. Judging by the state of the cues he offered, there hadn't been chalk for some time. Again, so easy to put that right. Disappointing. Final issue for us was the general customer service on show from the staff. One or two on the reception and in the restaurant were friendly/helpful but most weren't. A couple in particular were the complete opposite. The information on the website and menus said kids meals were served all day at the lounge bar and restaurant. On the last day we were sitting in the lounge bar having drinks after swimming and I went up to order a kids meal for my 2 year old daughter - at around 6pm. I was first of all asked to take a step back with a child at the bar despite kids running around all day, every day in the area then told they weren't serving kids meals at the lounge bar side. I questioned this and the suggestion was that if we were in the restaurant a few feet the other side of the bar or getting it as a takeaway, the kitchen would make it - but not at the lounge bar. I questioned the logic in this and, after consulting the kitchen, was told that it would in fact be permitted. No apology, no explanation, just straight to the till for payment. That incident in particular left a bad taste, at the end of a mostly enjoyable few days. Like I say, it wouldn't take much to put right - some customer service training/extra resource of the staff, some TLC on the facilities, a few enhancements here and there i.e. local info and guide - and the whole experience would have improved. Judging by the reviews, I'm not alone, so wonder why park management don't put things right?
