Whose home are the pets at? I hear you ask.nnPart pet & pet good shop, part free entry no touch petting zoo, pets at home has placed itself uniquely in the national psyche. No trip to a faceless retail park is trule complete without a quick 10 minute jaunt around the aisles to appreciate the fur & scale babies inside and their various acoutrements.nnNo Feathered friends present during my trip to Pets at Home Old Kent Road.nnThe staff were very friendly and chatty here. I believe I was served bought some dreamies by someone called 'Billy Boy' on the till. Hid charm and amenable nature was immediately evident, his manner matching the feel of a trip to Pets at Home perfectly. I would trust him around mine or a loved ones pet for sure.
I went in today to purchase 'Royal Canin for Sterilised Cats'nThe price was £13.49, but the violet haired cashier woman said £17.59, when I corrected her she went to check the price and barcode and then went to consult another employee and then scanned another identical box of cat food and I paid the correct price.nnCoclusion: you may be scammed especially when purchasing in bulk, I don't directly accuse the cashier, but it so happened that the incorrect price is larger then the original price.nNow I wonder how many products have the incorrect barcode like this?
This is such a great place! I always feel completely looked after, and our cat receives fantastic care here. When we first got him, the staff took the time to advise us on everything we needed — from food to toys — and their recommendations were spot on.nThe vet is excellent and always treats our cat with so much care and attention. Whenever our kitty was stressed after moving houses, they were just a phone call away and so reassuring.nAll the staff genuinely care about animals, and it shows in everything they do. It’s always a pleasant experience visiting this store — both for us and our cat. Highly recommended!
I visited this store last Thursday just to browse, I haven’t shopped there for ages.nAs soon as I arrived I received a very warm greeting from the young lady pink hair, which made me feel very welcome.nEven though she was attending to another customer she still took the time to acknowledge me.nI asked her where the cat section was and she showed me where it was.nAfter that, I wondered if my kitten which I brought in 7 years ago was still registered with the Veterinary side.nSo I’d made my way towards the veterinary side and then decided against it due to the fact that it was quite busy.nI decided to make my way to the cat section to get some treats for my cat.nAs I was browsing through the section I noticed that I was being tracked by security.nAt first glance, it appeared to be an Asian/ Middle Eastern security guard who appeared to follow me around.nI chose to ignore him and continued with my shopping.nThen another security guard African / Caribbean, took over and continued to track me during my shopping and up to the point of me making my purchases.nAt this point, I decided I had had enough of the harassment of this security guard and asked to speak to the manager about my experience.nWhen the duty manager arrived, I noticed she was the same lady who attended to me when I brought my kitten into the store in 2019.nAs you can imagine was so relieved.nAs I explained to her what happened to me in the store, the same security guard started walking past us while we were talking about what happened.nAs if he was trying to make some sort of point!!nNot only did it make me feel very uncomfortable and demoralised by this incompetent bully on a power trip.nI was horrified by the level of disrespect he demonstrated towards me a customer and the female duty manager who was trying to apologise for this man’s conduct.nAnd that’s why I gave only 4 stars.nAs a female shopping alone, I felt the behaviour of the security guard extremely creepy.
Was gonna buy some tropical fish but their in bad health , hair balls in the tanks along with dead fish and floating tags . Disgusting from a pet shop
