I recently visited the Pets at Home store in Nottingham and was impressed with their selection of pet products. The store was clean and well-organised, making it easy to navigate and find what I was looking for. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and were happy to answer any questions I had. I appreciated the variety of products available for all types of pets, and the reasonable prices. Overall, I had a positive experience shopping at Pets at Home and would recommend it to fellow pet owners in Nottingham.
Went here to buy tropical fish however when I asked for my preferred fish all I got was a grilling about what fish I have in my tank the resulting conversation was unbelievable ended with the. Sales assistant trying to sell me a new tank. I walked out of the shop in disgust never to return. I have been keeping fish longer than 50 years I

Definitely the worst pets at home in Nottingham I’ve kept rats most my life. I’ve gone in to get me and my fiance two beautiful baby rats and they refused to sell me them unless I got the biggest cage in the shop. From what I’ve kept my rats in and what I’ve been advised “by other pets at homes in Nottingham” in the past is no where as big as the one he was trying to sell me and also said if you can’t get this look around for a *birdcage that a good size*. Unbelievable.

Nice to shop for pets but unfortunately doesn't have a lot of variety of pets. They have a good stock of pet related items although some of the items are expensive.
From Tilly pictured: Great pet shop, loads of different snacks and treats for all different kinds of animal; dogs, birds, rabbits, cats, dogs, and more dogs.... There's a groomers here too, but I don't go there, and I don't like having a bath. At all. Good prices and the pawrents often have coupons to get even more snacks and treats from the Pet Club Card. Friendly staff, and all my Doggo cousins welcome. There's no fitting rooms but the humans that work here will help you try your coats and jumpers on for proper size before the pawrents buy. I love this shop
Was looking at getting rats, I asked a member of staff, and they asked to see my cage the man didn't know if it was good enough and asked someone else by shouting across the floor. They decided it wasn't big enough, I wasn't given any advice on what size was needed or anything at all. The cage I showed was a converted bird cage, and was definitely bigger than what they house their rats in, but I understand guidelines are in place for care so I would have been open to advice. The ginger-haired man I asked for help from was not very polite and I was under the impression that he would rather not be dealing with me.
Terrible experience, I’ve been taking care of fish for over 10 years. Was refused a sale because I was told the ‘fish would die in a new tank’ absolutely ridiculous I’ve had tens upon hundreds of this type of fish over the years i know what I’m doing. the ginger male who served me clearly just could not be bothered to fetch the fish out of the tank for me either that or he does not know what he’s doing. There were dead fish in the tanks and caught in the filtration area at the bottom. Very poor conditions.
