Rude receptionist called DAN, was coughing and urinating blood and Dan told me, i should have phoned sooner as they wouldn’t see me for over a month.nnAnd when my new born child was born and we registered him to this practice, the reception staff refused the application as we didn’t fill in what country he had moved from, when we was born in that very hospital 6 weeks earlier. but because my child is mix race, the racist reception staff assumed he was born in another country when both mother and father are UK born and never left the country.nnwish there was another practice as this one is disgusting, the reception staff all need replaced with people with manners and respect. I come here because i have an illness, not to be belittled and offended.
Phoned this morning and explained concern to very friendly and polite receptionist. Got an appointment for a practice nurse that afternoon. Came away with prescription and advice after a helpful, professional consultation. Cannot fault this service. Have been a patient here for over 30 years and have always been treated kindly and professionally. In fact since Covid I think the practice is more efficient and effective. Thank you to all for your hard work.
The discrimination i witnessed towards a person of foreign nationality was absolutely disgusting with the lady at the front desk proclaiming “I do not speak YOUR english” when it was obvious she had problems with conversing in english as it wasn’t her first language. This is a disgusting attitude which is sadly expected at this hospital now towards patients.
Been using the practice for many years always had the best of care and support.nnYes it can be difficult to get an appointment but that’s country wide. It’s wrong to label the staff un helpful
its clean and bright, theres plenty of healthcare staff coming and going, plenty of people waiting for appointments in designated areas, a pharmacy just inside of the entrance doors, a reception where you clock in but can't make appointments here, you have to call to make appointments..only lived in scotland for two years and this is strange to me as back home in england you can call for appointments or pop in and do it at the desk, whichever is best for your situation, personally i prefer to make appointments at the desk and so have only visited the drs once out of desperation..personally, this is another thing i miss about home and i will be returning ASAP. there's nothing wrong with this surgery except it caters for a massive area as its the only one and so can be quite busy at times which is ok unless you have an aversion to people around you which i do it appears.
