We use this station at least five times a day. Staff can be helpful except when there are train delays or cancellations, then they open the barriers and make themselves scarce. Don’t expect updates on the tannoy about Great Northern, the East Coast staff aren’t remotely interested. Keep an eye out for the disheveled and rather creepy ticket inspector with his baffling cry of, “a pleasure to you” as he opens the gates after staring for far too long at your ticket. Odd!

Very well ran train station with services to anywhere and everywhere, friendly staff. However, the station could do with a few more amenities to fulfil a customers needs for long train journeys.

Facilities are very good. Station always efficient in my experience. No delays. Just wait till it's renationalised!

Nice calm and clean on Thursday during the school holidays. Even the toilets were nicely cleaned and of good quality. Train was delayed by 5 minutes but there is plenty of little stall bits and seating areas if you need to buy anything or sit down. Space could be used a bit better seating wise- if it was busier I could imagine many people having to stand which I can't do due to disability. It would also be nice to have another lift at the opposite end of the platform for more accessibility both ends but nice overall :)
